RK + PD = JB = KASAM SE!!!!

Below is my feelings on Kasam Se, JB and RK+PD that I penned as part of a task assigned to me as MOTW!!

To me all three go hand in hand and are not mutually exclusive!!!!

LURKERS PLEASE READ:::::

I have wattched all the serials RK was in starting with Ghar Ek Mandit and have always admired his acting abilities and the way he emotes through his eyes!! Although he was excellent in Ghar Ek Mandir and other serials like Manshaa, Dhadkan he is mindblowing in Kasam Se!!! the very first scene when he walks into the room and Bani is at his feet his first words grabbed and held you!! His eyes expressed his commandeering power!! I have yet to see an actor whose expressions change so aptly adapting to the situation and dialogue!!! The scene that comes to mind is when during June 19^th when Bani nearly incoherent is describing what she saw and subtly outlining her feelings of jealousy, confusion and reluctant acceptance that maybe he is having a liason with Roshni – where his facial expressions are that of utter confusion as if he is trying to make sense of her babbling and then the sudden change in expression showing the dawning of realization was simply AWESOME, BRILLIANT!!! There are so many scenes in Kasam Se wehre he has given the same exact performance !! Of course the one where he talks to his baby was brilliant as well, so much so that he got recognition, and rightly so, from veteran actor Manoj Kumar!!! Another one is when he discovers the loss of his child!! The emotions portrayed were sysnonymous to a real father having gone through such a loss!!! Again brilliant!!! I simply could go on and on describing each and every scene of his which is engrained in my mind!!! Ram Kapoor has made JW and I truly feel that if there was any other actor portraying him he would not have made as much an impact as RK has!!! JW was made into an iconic figure, a man men strive to be and women can't help but fall in love with, by the superb acting talents of Ram Kapoor!! That's how much of an impact he has made on me. Obviously his greek god looks are enticing as well and the utter romantic in me always thought of him synonymous to the MB hero therefore he always entranced me!!!

Prachi Desai was the cute kid on the block!! A novice but an up and coming actress who is going to make an everlasting impact in the industry! Again she, like Ram speaks volumes through her eyes!!! As a newcomer it must be hard for her to change emotions so rapidly but she does so with aplomb!! The first scene which impacted me was the one where she is asked to speak at a party regarding JW's plan to turn her Mt Abu home into a hotel and despite being devastated at the demolition of her house she states that she is ok with this venture and then to top it off she says how she is so glad her "darling husband" has decided to open an orphanage in the name of her father. The guts it took and the fire in the eyes as she states this looking him straight in the eye was superb acting!!! The scene where JW and Mohan tell her that they planned Mohan helping Pia to give JW time to set a case against her and then find out that despite that Bani had them escape and that JW NOW has four hours to stop their wedding was great –again the fire and challenge in the eyes along side an understanding of his pain!!! A recent scene was when she finds out about the ONS and is in the water with those blood curling screams of sheer pain…my god did she make me cry buckets!!!! A fellow guju to boot and reading of her ambition and accomplishments at such a young age I made me admire her more and I selected her to be a role model for my daughter and other young teenagers that I know!! Always use her as an example of what can be achieved if you want it and try hard enough!!!

As for the pair together their ASTOUNDING, MINDBLOWING, MINDBOGGLING, SIZZLING chemistry is what endears them to me as an on screen couple!!! To say they have infused life into the JB characters seems very minimal because they have done much more -- they are JB to me without them as JB there would be no KS and definitely no addiction!!! In 20 + years of watching television I have never ever come across such chemistry that these two emit in their scenes!!! They simply entrance and enthrall me and bring out the romantic!! I can think of so many scenes where the chemistry is so blatantly obvious even when neither utters a word!!! In the initial days of their marriage where he comes home at night drunk and is fumbling with the remote to get the TV to turn on but he due to his drunkedness he can't get ti to work Bani takes the remote and switches it on the look that passed between them spoke volumes…his eyes lighted up with fire, hurt, anger and hers with understanding, sympathy and compassion!!! What a scene that was and not a word was uttered!!! Another that comes to mind is the scene where he blasts Bani for going to Pia and Pushkar's house and she tells him it was for their mom's puja. She states that today she truly feels and orphan and realizes how alone she really is. The change in his expression shows the dawning of empathy towards her because he realizes that he himself has been in the same situation for years. The undercurrents are apparent in that scene!!! Another favorite is the sewing button scene. The way they make an attempt to avoid each others eyes and when for an instant those eyes meet there is a silent communication of physical awareness, the physical impact each is having on the other!!! When she comes close to bite of the thread you felt the effort his self control was taking not to just grab her to him and kiss her!!! You could feel the presence of the underlying want, passion and need!!! What magical scenes they were!!!

They simply ROCK as JB!!! Without JB there is no KASAM SE!!!!

So bing JB back ....The TRPs are falling ---- re-look at las Thursday's and Friday's for evidence that JB is what makes KASAM SE and definitely NOT Adhbhoot and DDG wanna be Bani!!!!

Lovely post. It mirrors the sentiments of a lot of people. These two actors infused so much life to their characters that even through crap storylines we have hung on to see them light up our screen. The butchering of these two is getting to be a little too much for us to consume. It has been relentless and needs to stop. I hope we have some of our wishes granted without the accompanying grossness like we saw on thurs and fri.

very beautifully penned the real thoughts of us viewers from which the destructives are running away
no couple has even enthralled me to this extent in my decade and more of television watching like these two..and ram and prachi have infused sweet life into these characters....and held the show for nearly one and half years ...so why is the need to change equation when it clearly shows that even testing waters is leading to sinking responses
a dear friend of mine not even a member ..tells me she does not want to leave this show however illogical it has become bcoz she can't let go of jaibani ...and with them together she hopes to see them till the end of kasam se...whatever the twist and turn be.....
and it is a reflection of all our collective thoughts

like i've said that JB for me really are ideal couples! and i would stop watching it if they both leave or are paired with someone else!!!
so we want JB to be back in the same frame!

Nina, I adhere to each and every thought you have written here. You have taken the sentiments of each true JB despo and penned them out so beautifully. There was something about this couple that was so addicting- it made us longing more and more as the time passed. And now look at us Despos- we long for those moments that come between Jai and Bani- in fact we survive and thrive off of them!

Even the smaller moments that were between them- where there were no words (as you mentioned the silent scene) had so much written in there. Their emotions were felt miles away, and despite the verbal communication it was the body language that didnt just speak words-- it spoke paragraphs! It was the simple and small moments that made their jodi so precious to us. It was the simplicity of their love and the complexity of their feelings that compelled us to watch further. As they fell in love with each other, we fell in love with them.

To us, they represent the idea of true love that can survive through thick and thin. No matter what trials and tribulations they have endured, I feel that they love each other even more and are even stronger for one another.

RK and PD have done more than justice to their characters. As JB they have moved us to tears with their eyes, made us laugh at their small moments, and filled our hearts with the sense of warmth at the depth they love one another.

They are beautiful together- nothing will change that- not anyone. They are meant to be together at every level- for only they can complete each other.

JB = KS... Lurkers need to learn that already.

You are right RK is a brilliant actor, he slipped into the role of JW starting from day one, so excellently it was hard to say, if he was truly of similar nature or if he was acting. That is how brilliant he was, and continues to be. The scenes you have described are awesome. He has the capability of emoting that very few actors do. But his speech and diction is just as brilliant. It was his mind blowing and astounding performances that took JW to iconic heights, in my opinion not reached by any character. Where people who don't understand want to watch him.

PD is green but just as brilliant, for someone who has no formal training her ability to emote astounds me. The scenes which in my opinion are the hardest to perform, the quiet scenes she does with brilliance few veterans can do. She relates to emotions that she has never experienced as a 18 year old and expresses them with ease and aplomb. The other scenes come just as easy to her. In addition she is a professional to the boot, which 17 year old otherwise would agree to a June 19.

Coming to KS, yes they make KS. No doubt about it. If you delete either RK or PD from the equation KS will die a natural death. It is the acting prowess of these 2 brilliant actors that makes (or should I say made) KS what it is. Their chemistry is the best in the industry and even in bollywood. I compare their chemistry to SRK and Kajol and at times I think they surpass SRK and Kajol, that is how mind blowing their chemistry. The screen sizzles and they don't have to say a word.

Faru, I agree that RK and PD both have brought life into JB. I dont think there is anyone that could have understood the characters as well as they do. They are able to emote their feelings through their eyes and actions so powerfully, that at times words are not even needed for them to tell us what they are feeling. Post ONS, the episode where both Jai and Bani were silent throughout brought us all to tears. Their pain was felt by all of us, and it was so powerful the way we could see their pain in their eyes.

At times I feel like RK and PD love JB just as much as we do- and thats why their characters feel so alive for us- and I feel thats why when they are on screen together- its so evident on how much power and understanding they have of JB.

With even one of them gone- the magic of KS dies right there. There is no KS with JB.. and no JB with no RK and PD..

Timmy you might have revealed why RK is still with KS, when all other soaps he leaves, esp if the character is being butchered. I am sure he stays because like you said, he love JW as much as we do and has an affinity to the character.

I truly hope RK is staying because he believes in his character JW and only for the paycheck!!! But yaar he needs to scream at the top of his lungs for these kreatives to stop butchering him and have JW resurrected instead of being shown as succumbing to blackmailing from evey Tom, Dick and Harry!!! (I am sure he has tried but he needs to try harder)) He also needs to pitch for the JB jodi to remain in tact!!!

No Adhbhoot or OCD Taruns in the way!!!
