The beep sound of my mobile made us come back to this world . I don't know why whenever I look into his eyes I will always lose myself .
We both are so happy .. Our eyes are vindicating our happiness . That feeling of happiness is really good . And there is something in the air which is unknown , still it is lifting our spirits up .
Arnav : Kya tum mujhe yeh watch pehnaugi ? [ Will you put this wath on ? ]
I could see that he really wants me to wrap the watch around his wrist . It is his birthday . I don't mind doing it today .
I took the watch from his hand . He forwarded his hand towards me . I smiled . My heart beats started to rise and my breathing became abnormal .
Oh no why should this happen again and again ??
He is standing straight and I stood sideways . My right side is facing him .
I don't know how to hook these kind of watches . Unknowingly I moved a bit forward and tried to hook the watch . A cold breeze from the pool side tickled our skins .
I could hear someone else's heartbeat too which is parallel to mine . It is beating fast too . Our heartbeats seems to be one .
I raised my head to get a load of his eyes to drown in the depths of truth .
I didn't realise that we both are almost hugging each other . But I'm standing side ways .
I felt I drowned in the pool of desires . I could see he wants to tell me something but is still hesitating . But what it could be ? Before losing myself agin in his eyes , I again concentrated on watch .
I finally managed to hook the watch and I stepped back .
It felt so good to hear our heartbeats together . It created some sort of music though it was so soft .
I am staring the floor . How can I meet his eyes ? This is so new for me . I don't know what is happening to me .
Arnav : I don't like to wear a watch on my hand . But from now I promise you that I will never take this watch off . I will always keep it safe . It will always be on my hand .
Khushi : No Arnav . This is not that pricey . It won't suit your standard .
Arnav : Shut up Khush . I like it . This is a branded company ok ? This is pricey . Tell me how much did this cost you ?
Khushi : No Arnav it is not that expensive .
Arnav : I need to know the truth .
Khushi : Fifteen thousand .
Arnav : Why did you spend so much on a gift .
Just then I heard some footsteps . I turned back . I saw Aman . I smiled .
Khushi : Hey Aman .
Aman : Hey Khush . Happy birthday Arnav .
Arnav : Thank you .
Aman : Arrey ! You are wearing watch !! You never preferred one !! Don't tell me my eyes are cheating me !!
Arnav : Shut up .. Khushi gifted me .
Aman : Oh ..
He said in a teasing way . This boy will never get changed .
Khushi : I will go and see if everything is in correct position .
Arnav nodded .
Aman : I'll follow you .
I nodded .
We both checked everything . The caterers , dj already arrived .
Khushi : I already informed you the songs which you have to play right ?
Dj : Sir also asked me to play few songs .
Khushi : Ok
I moved towards the table where plates are arranged for the starters .
Arnav : Khush meet my sister .
He is standing beyond me .
I turned around to meet her but to my surprise I already know her !
Anjali ji and Shyam bhayya !!
Khushi : Aap ?
Anjali ji & Syam bhayya : Tum ?
Arnav : You know each other ??
Khushi : Ji . Voh . They are ..
Anjali : Chottey , hamaari Akaash hai na . His wife's sister is Khushi .
Arnav : Akaash bhai's wife is Payal ?
She nodded in approval .
Arnav's face became pale . Why is he worried so much ? What happened all of a sudden ?
He dragged his sister towards the side and whispered .. But I can clearly hear them ..
Arnav : Di what is she to me ? What relation do we share ,.. I mean can we ma...
Anjali : Don't worry Chottey up she is your saali . Don't worry !! There's no problem .
She is smiling ..
Arnav seemed to be a bit relieved now .
They again came towards us .
Anjali : So how are you Khush ? You didn't even feel the need to come over my place in Lucknow after Aisha's first birthday ?
Khushi : Umm . It's just that we got a bit busy . And couldn't make . How are you bhaabhi ? And bhayya how are you .
Shyam : We both are fine Khush .
Anjali : You know Chottey .. Their house in Lucknow is just wonderful !!! It is a duplex house . It is just awesome and mainly the sisters room !! Khush's room is pink and white in colour and Payal's room was in 3 different colours !!
Shyam : Haan Arnav . And I guess they shifted to Lucknow after your 10th .
Arnav : I know we both were in same college . We shifted there at the same time .
I understood in the farewell day itself that Arnav is upto something . So I asked my parents if we could shift to our hometown from Delhi . Even they were in those plans . So we shifted to Lucknow . But who knows that even Arnav shifted to Lucknow . And we both did our +1 & +2 in same college in Lucknow .
Shyam : But Khush what are you doing in Delhi ?
Khushi : Voh bhayya bua ji is living alone here . So we felt it right if we shift here . And we thought that our house there would be left like a farm house . Whenever we want to go back we will stay there only . By the way uncle and Aunty didn't arrive yet ?
Anjali : No they are in Lucknow . There was a pooja day before yesterday . They are really tired .,so they couldn't make here .
Though Lucknow is my hometown . I am bought up in Delhi . And most part of my life is spent in Delhi . My education till 10th standard was in Delhi .
Anjali : You know Chottey Ma wanted to get you and Khushi married to each other !! She loves her so much that she felt only Khushi has the power to change you .
Was there any need for bhaabhi to say that . And Arnav is smirking !! But he shouldn't be like this . He should be angry .
May be he took it as a joke .
Aman : Hii di .. Hi jiju
Aman wished them coming towards us . They hugged .
I excused myself from there to check other works .
Guests started to arrive . Arnav and his family are receiving them .
Khushi : Is Sheetal coming ?
I asked Aman . He said a yes while blushing !!
Khushi : Oh so you are blushing !!!
Aman : Khush I really love her . She made my life so beautiful . She never complained about anything . She will be happy even if I spend at least 5 minutes with her. She accepts all the flaws I have .. Here she comes . My life Sheetal .
I turned around .. I saw a beautiful young lady in a frock . She seems to be a very sweet girl . I smiled . She really makes a good pair with Aman . They really look like made for each other ,
She came towards us and hugged Aman .
Aman : Sheetal so she is our Khushi .
Sheetal : Khushi ?? You are Khushi !! Do you even know how long we all have waited for you !!! You are finally here !!
This is really surprising why would they wait for me ? And her eyes are filled with glee .
Sheetal : You are right Aman she is so fair now !! You look like a vampire !!! You are so pale !!! And you are so thin !!! You changed a lot !!! But there is something which didn't change in you !! You are still so cute and beautiful !!!
She hugged me . I hugged her too .
She went to Arnav to wish him .
I again turned towards the entrance . Swathi is coming . Isn't it strange ?? A girlfriend coming to her boyfriend's birthday party after half an hour !!
I went towards her to greet her ., after all I invited her personally
Khushi : Hi Swathi !!
Swathi : Who are you ?
Khushi : Umm I think you forgot me I'm Khushi ... Your ..
Swathi : How can I forget you dear ? After all it is because of you. My Arnav left me ... By the way .. You became more fairer than me !! Seriously I must say you are very sexy ..no doubt Arnav left me ...
She said in a mocking way .
Khushi : What are you saying Swathi ?
Arnav : Who the hell invited you here ?
Arnav said in a very rash tone . His eyes are full of wrath . He came towards us taking big steps . Seeing him like this I understood one thing , I am in a very big trouble !!
Arnav : I thought you have some self respect .. But you proved it wrong !!
Swathi : Offo Arnav .. I didn't invite myself here . I don't know who was she .. But I think she is your PA .. She invited me ..
Oh no that's me !! But why Arnav doesn't want his girlfriend to be here ??
He saw me with all the rage .. I think he will bury me here itself !!
Arnav : Get out Swathi !!
He said in a low tone but yet very dangerous . He turned around to leave us .
How can he be so rude to her ??
I followed him .
Khushi : Voh aapka girlfriend hai . Aur aap uske saath Itni buri tarah se baat kar rahe hai ? [ She is your girlfriend . And you are talking to her in such a bad way ? ]
Arnav : Who the hell told you that she is my girlfriend ?
Khushi : Aman . And if not him our school knew that you both loved each other and crossed your limits in such a young age .
Arnav : We broke up dammit !! And tell her to get the hell out of here before I throw her away .
Khushi : Stop it Arnav . You can't do that . Aap maane ya na maane Swathi aapki guest hai . Aur aap uske saath batameezi nahi kar sakte . [ You accept it or not Swathi is your guest . And you cannot misbehave with her . ]
Arnav : I don't want her to create any problem here .
Did he accept !! A broad smile occupied my lips .
Khushi : Aap mangay ?
Arnav : Only for you .
He said with a cute little smile .
I was about to go to Swathi but Aman stopped me .
Aman : Khush I told you that Swathi and Arnav were in relation . They broke up long ago !!
Khushi : Sorry Aman I think I heard it wrong that day . I'm so sorry ,
Aman : It's ok Khush . But that lady is really dangerous .
Sheetal : Haan Khushi . She is the worst woman I've seen in my life .
Khushi : Sheetal stop calling me Khushi .. Call me Khush yaar . Even I'm your friend right !!!
She nodded
Khushi : But Sheetal .. Umm and Aman . Tell me one thing .. Why does Swathi blame me for their break up ? What did I do ?
Sheetal : She is mad Khush . Just delete her out of your mind . She's crap .
I saw Arjun coming . He is Arnav's friend who used to stare at me shamelesslyin our school days . I don't like him . He always stares me in a strange manner which is very uncomfortable .
He came and greeted me with a hi . I smiled . We never one to each other . Now he is trying his level best to build up a conversation with me. !
Here came the time for cake cutting . All his guests surrounded the special chocolate Cake I ordered for him . And the birthday boy standing in the middle .
Anjali : Khush candles kaha hai ?
Khushi : Di according to our culture we shouldn't blow out fire . Amma told me that it is a very bad thing to blow out the candles so I thought no to ...
Anjali : How much you care for Chottey Khushi !!!
I saw Arnav smirking who is standing behind his di .
I made my place far away from Arnav but in the room itself .
I heard them singing happy BITRHDAY song for him .
Anjali : Now Chottey , ask your most loved person in the party to eat this first of piece of cake . And then you eat it .
I heard her voice . It is surely bhaabhi itself . Who else can be ?
But I felt Arnav coming towards me . I turned around only to find Arnav with a piece of cake in his hands !!
He forwarded the cake piece .
Arnav : Eat it Khushi .and a big bite .
I nodded a no .
