After a mind blowing first wild card round...people who gave excellent performances were voted out …JLT…Shantanu who had been appearing a little nervous in all his piano rounds came back with a powerhouse of a performance….and then what happens…he is voted out
Bhavin…technically the soundest singer and probably a very deserving contestant for the title…is voted out
Aisha…the girl with "namak" in her voice…a voice that has so much potential is voted out
Out of the 4 who got a chance to sing again…Amit was the most deserving…and gosh…he forgets his lyrics…despite that I think he really really deserves to come back…the judges should save him…they will I hope
I am not really a fan of Ankita's singing…but the positive attitude and her spirit does want a part of me to come back and perform again and again
Padmanav is a good singer…but he hasn't been consistent…he chose a difficult song and sang it ok…question is it good enough
Then there is Suhit…the constant bashing by Javed Saab…and his mournful expression has almost started evoking sympathy....if that can happen to me..imagine the effect on people who actually like him…
He is an OK singer…he is a good performer…people may like his style…but he seems to be getting past each round at the expense of other people who are better…now that doesn't seem very fair…
However, the theory of TRPs seems believable…Suhit = controversy = raised TRPs…so the channel has let some of the judges push him through…and I am wondering if JA has been asked to be deliberately harsh in order to keep him in…coz the reverse psychology is working very well here
So people…now as the gala rounds begin…be ready for heartbreaks…to see good singers axed and the not so good ones sailing through…It is not anybody's fault…its just the way the reality TV cookie crumbles!
