Much much better than what they showed in the ad. For now it's a story about two women. Princess Rania and Nooralain. The whole episode was a contrast between two women.

One is an orphan who lives with a newly widowed aunt and 5 nephews/nieces while Rania is a pampered princess who is doted on by her housekeeper and ignored by a cold husband.

this is an awesome drama
i became fan of sanam after watching this
she is superb actress
abt the play the character of princess rania have many shades which 'll gradually reveal .
when i saw the drma some years back and when the whole character of rania revealed i was so shocked that i was like "yeh aisi thi? aur hm sara time kya samajhtay rhay"
a really really well written and well directed play
haissam experiments a lot i guess
and AZ fans the director of this play is also haissam and as far as i remember the writer of AZ and Noorpur ki Rani is also same that is faiza iftikhar

I have not seen this one yet

Sanam has always been an actor for me doing serious roles (read Daastan and Dur-e-Shawaar). NKR looks like light-hearted stuff for me and am excited to see Sanam in this avtar!!

I have watched the first episode which was much better than the stupid promos. But Sanam Baloch was pretty average based on this episode only. I hear that she is the best actress of Pakistan, but I didn't see that yet.

Sanam Baloch is brilliant. I personally have not seen NKR so i can't judge the performances..though it did well. However, Sanam ' s best work is arguably Dastaan, Daam, Kankar, Doraha and Durre Shahwar. And I'm afraid Zindagi plans on showing surely only Durre Shahwar.

Yes, I have heard the same. I did not like her much in the first episode, I just need to give the show some time. It's just the first episode after all.

Yes, Dur-e-Shawar will be here soon, Daastan, I plan to watch online.

Also, do watch Daam! Daam is amazing. I'd go as far as saying that's my favorite performance by her. In Dastaan, she really blows you away.

The thing with Daam is you feel that connection with all of the characters. It's kind of like ZGH but only better.

I'm still not too sure why they aired Noorpur Ki Rani first though. Sanam Baloch has many great shows that should've been aired before this one..oh well, maybe it's worth the watch...I haven't watched it myself so I don't know how it is either.

^^ It did seem like a good show from the first episode. It had depth, interesting character contrasts, and I loved Rebecca, so I am interested to see how things work out.

I think Zindagi is giving the slightly more light-hearted, easygoing shows at the beginning to ease people into it. And TBH, it's good. Because Zindagi is a very new channel, and most of my friends are not getting the channel through cable. It's better if they keep a few solid shows for later, if and when the channel gets a better reach.

Daam is supposed to be aired on ZGH too. <3 And a show named Kankar, I think.

I think you're right because it seems like they air a serious show, and a lighthearted one on the side (ZGH & Aunn Zara) and now Maat and NKR will be airing together.

I really hope they air Daam on Zindagi because on youtube the quality isn't so great. It's a story about friendship and the price that comes with it...and the characters are people like you and me..so you really relate with them on a personal level. I'm not sure if you've seen the promo before? but this may give you an idea about the quality of the show.

Even the show's theme song holds so much significance to the plot - kahaan khogaye woh lamhein.

Oh yeah, Kankar is Sanam Baloch's most recent show..it was also really good. Both shows have the same writer as Zindagi Gulzar Hai.
