Hey friends I am back with the next update and am posting it before time. Hope you don't mind.
Chapter 21
At the crack of dawn!
Khushi blinked her eyes open to the first soft ray of the sun with a happy feeling in her heart... She smiled languidly at the sweet heaviness on her bosom and droped down her gaze mystified...
She almost jumped out of her skin to realize that Arnav was fast asleep with his right leg thrown across her thighs and his arms encircling her waist tightly!
Her gaze shifted ever so slightly to his handsome face which was cushioned on her breasts as if it was the most natural thing in the world! A red colour suffused Khushi's cheeks. Hayye re Devi Maiyya! They hadn't realized when they had dozed off in each other's arms on the terrace!
But it was almost daybreak! What was he doing here with her...on the bed! Khushi felt the heat rising to her cheeks again. Arnav should have left long time ago!
"Arnav wake up!" She shook him by the shoulders, "Go home!" She tried to push him away.
But the move backfired for he only tightened his hold on her small waist, groaning in his sleep, pulling her closer and rubbing his stubble against her breasts! Warm honey rushed into Khushi's veins leaving her breathless. She shut her eyes tightly as an unknown feeling invaded her.
"Arnav...go..." she whispered in a rather unconvincing voice
"No!"he murmured vehemently against her cleavage, "There's sukoon(peace and calm) here ..
Khushi smiled in spite of herself and the hand that had risen to dislodge his head from her sensitive mounds found itself intertwined in his thick hair, drawing him closer.
"Koi dekh lega! (Someone will see us!)", she smiled embarrassed.
"Dekhne do! (Let them see!)" he flicked open his eyes, glaring at her, annoyed at being woken up.
And promptly went back to sleep again.
Khushi shook her head, amazed at the strange contentment that filled her heart in the misty glow...

Aman disembarked from the plane at the Delhi airport. He had tied up all the lose ends in Stockholm as instructed by ASR. He switched on his phone and was astonished to see five missed calls and an urgent mesage from one of the oldest employees at AR, Mr. Singhania. It was very early in the morning but he decided to call him.
He called him immediately, "Yes Mr. Singhania, is something the matter?"
He listened intently, his forehead burrowing. Then asked in a disturbed voice,
"Are you trying to tell me that Sheela cannot be contacted at all? She seems to have disappeared for good? Since when?
He nodded his head "I see, He murmured. Thank you Mr. singhania."
Sheela seemed to have taken off suddenly to some unknown destination with her ailing mother! That was suspicious because she had been the first one to disclose Ajit Mallik's devious plans. He wouldn't be surprised if Ajit Mallik was hiding her somewhere so that she could not act as a witness against him.
Aman promptly dialled the number of a private investigator and spoke in a hushed tone instructing him to find out about Sheela's whereabouts immediately.
Aman slid into a cab and wiped the beads of sweat on his forehead. He had a bad feeling about this!

Aman had just emerged from the taxi in front of his house when his phone rang. It was the private investigator. He gestured to the cab driver to wait.
Aman quickly punched the button to receive the call. He heard the information disclosed to him, his jaws dropping. Then he spoke into the phone in a shocked,
"Let me get this straight. Sheela is working in Lucknow and her employer is S. M. Jha? Meaning Shyam Manohar Jha? Are you totally sure? Absolutely certain?"
The private investigator confirmed that that was correct.
Aman thanked the man and disconnected the line with a confused and disturbed look on his face. I must personally meet ASR and tell him about this development.
He hopped into the waiting cab...

Shyam heard the door to the washroom open and lay on the bed pretending to be asleep. He heard Anjali humming a happy tune as she wore her saree. He shut his eyes tightly as Anjali tiptoed towards him and covered him with the light quilt that had slipped off his body. Then much to his relief his wife left the room, drying her hair.
He lay quietly on the bed for a few seconds ensuring that his Ranisahiba was out of ear shot before jumping up on the bed and dialling Subhadra Mallik's number, with shaking hands.
As soon as the line was connected Shyam whined, "I am sorry Dadiji I could not take your phone. Rani Saahiba was in the room..."
Subhadra Mallik's voice was stern. "I don't care about your problems Damadji because my son is in jail and in greater trouble than you are. All I want to know is when is he going to be released on bail?
"Dadiji don't worry. It shall be done. You understand I can't get involved in this personally or Saale sahib will become suspicious. But I have spoken to my lawyer friends and Ajit chacha will walk out of prison soon.
"He'd better! You understand!" Dadi sounded furious.
"Haan Dadiji. I will do all I can for chacha! But why did you allow saale sahib to lodge an FIR in the first place!"
"You know Arnav Damadji! I requested him not to wash dirty linen in public but does he ever listen to anyone? But this time he has gone a bit too far..."
Dadi's voice was very cold.

Anjali passed her brother's room on her way to the pooja room.
Her Chhotey had been successful in his mission of setting up his own company and must be sleeping peacefully, she thought opening the door of his room quietly and walking into it with a smile.
Her eyes widened in disbelief !
The bed was empty and it looked like it hadn't been slept on! Anjali rubbed her eyes. Where did Chhotey go when he should be resting!
Her eyes fell on a note propped up on the pillow. She picked it up hastily. She was relieved. It was from Chhotey. The spidery writing was unmistakable.
She smiled broadly, "Chhotey's writing! Even Ma couldn't change it!"
She screwed up her eyes and read, "Di, something urgent came up. I will be back soon. Don't worry."
Anjali folded the note neatly.
Something urgent! Anjali murmured, "But his company's work is over...What other urgent work can Chhotey have!"
Her eyes fell on a file on his recliner. It was the file of his new company. Arnav must have been in a hurry to leave it lying around, Anjali thought shaking her head. She flicked through the pages of the file with a proud look on her face.
AK Designers! Nice name! she nooded approvingly.
But what does K stand for? A is obviously Arnav but K... ? Anjali thought hard but gave up.I will ask Chhotey when he returns.
"I wonder where he is!" she said aloud, shrugging her shoulders and making her way to the pooja room.

Aman paid off the cab and pulled his light luggage on the cobblestone path leading up to the Raizada mansion. He glanced at his wristwatch again. It was early and ASR was possibly deep in sleep, but he knew his boss would want him to give this significant piece of information immediately.
He rang the bell and waited. To his disconcernment Anjali opened the door, a pooja thali in hand.
Anjali was surprised to see Aman.
"Aman! What is the matter? Is Chhotey okay?!" she was concerned
Aman gaped at her, "Do you mean ASR is not at home Anjali ji?"
"No Aman. Chhotey left a note saying he had some urgent work. And now you are here first thing in the morning. I guess it is something urgent, right?"
"Yes Anjali ji, Aman murmured lowering his eyes guiltily. She is such a fine lady he thought. I hope her husband is not involved with Ajit chacha.
"Aman you look tired. Come in . Hari Prakash is making some tea. Have some tea while waiting for Chhotey ." Anjali ushered Aman into the house, smiling at him.
Hari Prakash served the morning tea.
Anjali thanked him and said, "HP see if Shyamji is awake."
Aman gulped his tea quickly.
Anjali looked at him thoughtfully. Something is the matter she grimaced and why do I have this funny feeling that it is something to do with me, she thought sipping her tea quietly.
Suddenly her phone rang. "It must be Chhotey," she told Aman.
"Hello Chhotey," she smiled into the phone.
There was a pause at the other end. Then someone cleared his throat and stammered,
"Its its me Di...Aakash!"

Khushi snapped awake! Something had woken her up. Some noise...someone chanting Hayye re Nand Kishore! What! That was Buaji's chant! Hayye re Devi Maiyya! She could now distinctly hear Buaji climbing up the stairs, singing her favourite Nand Kishore hymn! What would she say if she saw Arnav Singh Raizada literally sleeping on top of her niece on the terrace of her house!
"Tu to kaam se gayi Khushi! (You are a goner, Khushi!)" Khushi muttered and immediately sprung into action!
She shook Arnav with all her might, "Get up Arnav! We must have slept off again! Buaji is coming up the stairs! Arnav are you listening!" she punched his chest.
"What the!" Arnav opened one eye groggily and clasped both her wrists and raised her hands above her head.
"Let me sleep!" he growled.
"Arnav if Buaji sees us like this I will lose my sleep forever! Hatto (Move!)!! "
"What do you mean by "like this" Khushi? Did we do something in the night that I don't remember! Maybe you should refresh my memory!" Arnav was now fully awake and teasing her.
The sound of Buaji's singing grew louder and Khushi felt the end of world was near.
"Please Arnav!" she pleaded helplessly
Arnav took in her dishevelled hair, the soft wisps which were blowing into her large almond eyes , her flushed cheeks, red nose and her pink parted lips and swallowed hard.
He gave her a short hard kiss on her mouth and rolled away.
It took Khushi a few precious seconds to recover from the abrupt but pleasurable kiss. Then she scampered off the charpai (bed) and ran to the terrace door panting.
Buaji was just a few steps away and Khushi looked back at Arnav who was sitting on the bed with an amused look on his face, his eyes twinkling.
"Go! Hide!" she mouthed the words, gesturing to him frantically.
But he only smirked lazily.
He got up from the bed, stretched himself and folded his arms over his chest. Cocking up one eyebrow he lipped, "Why?"
Bhaand main jayye! Laad Governor kahin ka! (Let him go to hell! Laad Governor!) He is doing his deliberately to embarrass me, Khushi fumed!
"Arrey Titaliya! Tum yahan kya kar rahi ho itne subah bubah! (Titaliya what are you doing here so early in the morning!)" Buaji's shell shocked voice boomed into Khushi ears.
Khushi turned to Buaji with a false smile plastered on her face. "Buaji! Subh Prabhat! (Buaji! Good morning!)" she yelled into her ear and hugged her tightly.
Buaji pushed her away gasping for breath.
But Khushi hugged her again saying, "Buaji you always complain I get up so late. So I am up and about today!
Buaji looked at her suspiciously and muttered, "Sankadevi! Aaj suraj kaun si taraf se nikla hai! (Has the sun risen from the west today!)"
She took a step towards the terrace but Khushi literally pounced on her.
"Where are you going Buaji?" Khushi blocking her path, her eyes wide and wild .
"Arrey Parmeswarii pagla gayi ho kya! Kapde to sukhane do! (Have you gone mad Parmeswari! Let me hang the clothes to dry!)"
Buaji pointed at the bucket containing her washed clothes.
"Buaji !" Khushi snatched the bucket away from Buaji's hand and said nervously looking behind her back, "You don't have to go to the terrace. I will put the clothes to dry."
Buaji snatched back her bucket and frowned."Hatto Sankadevi! (Move Sankadevi!)" she said josting Khushi aside and stepping on to the terrace!
Khushi closed her eyes in despair as she heard Buaji exclaiming loudly, " Hayye re Nand Kishore! Yeh kya? (What is this?)"
