The music was fantastic but the movie was a mega borefest.
Shilpa was stunning too.

Regarding the music of then vs now...

There are just as many "meaningful" songs today as back then. Take the recent Ek Villain soundtrack or last year's Aashiqui 2.

Yes there is a lot of club music today but back then there was no shortage of gimmicky songs and item numbers.

It's always been like that.

Even in the 90s, people used to say "back in our time in the 70s or 60s we had proper music" blah blah blah

the only degrading thing in today music is use of softwares and technology ..earlier it was plain vocal without editing voices just what u have sang in studio u will get to hear it the same way u couldnt tune the voices... i didnt liked aashique 2 music it was over rated apart from shreya goshal version of sunraha hai male ankit had put so much effects and tuners it ruined the song for me ...Tum hi ho was sensible lyrics but arijit singing style was kind of more impressed by Western loud music he copied atif aslam style the way he sings like a thirsty goat 🥱 he could have sang this song in a soft melodious way might be it could have sounded much more better

Songs in this film are just okay. Nothing exceptional. Regular 90s stuff. And I like Udit, Alka songs more than Sonu ones.

songs back in days where use to get fit in the situation in films... i like all of them be it udit, alka or sonu nigam or kumar sanu they have worked in times where there wasn't any technology ...there expressions were class apart ...even studio recording use to be live back then ...😉 today any one of us or even u can become superstar with softwares like antreas or melodyine being used in studios ... i am not trained singer though i have been practicing on songs since 2010 :D :P u can chk my voice here ...i sang a bit of Chote Chote Raatien from Tum Bin
