Chapter#33
It was the Shagun day and it had gone amazingly well.
With the Raizada name mentioned Sheetal's parents were more than happy to give their daughters hand to Nk. Not that Nk was related to them but he had been always their family.
Sheetal and Nk had blushed all the way through the whole meeting.
And so had Khushi.
Arnav had sat in the corner, absolutely quite but his eyes were glued to Khushi. Her every move was noted by him and Khushi would melt under his gaze. But she didn't dare to glance at him.
His behavior was an aberration for Khushi. And for the first time in her life time she did not have a solution to this particular problem.
*
The whole day passed by in a blur. Nk had been entirely the happiest person alive with the wedding dates being finalized in the upcoming dates. Within a week he'd be married to the love of his life.
And then there had been Khushi who was absolutely shocked at how Arnav was changing progressively. His behavior towards her was abstruse but also very nice. He hadn't shouted at her or manhandled her, hadn't been rude or thrown acrid words at her.
He smiled at her from time to time. They had been sleeping on the same bed, surprisingly. He would tease her or flirt with her from time to time and she would blush like crimson.
Life was good. Perfect.
*
In the morning, everyone got ready quickly. Anjali was surprised that Arnav hadn't been angry or had tried to escape through the whole thing. He was massively participating with everyone. He had an excited glint in his eyes, was another shock rolled towards Anjali.
Anjali and Nani were both content with their idea.

Sheetal had arrived soon and all the family members had light breakfast and soon had fled to the farmhouse. Three of the couples had taken separate cars.
*
The silence was killing her.
It had been 30 minutes and the silence was agonizing.
And just then she was startled.
"You can talk if you want Khushi." -Arnav smirked.
"Huh? Uh... I was just..." -Khushi stammered while thinking about how he had known that she was uncomfortable with the quietness in the car.
And just as Khush felt a wee bit comfortable, the car was slowing down and there was noisy disturbance in front of them. Two of the other cars behind them, which were Akash-Payal and Nk-Sheetal slowed down as well and after a few minutes the cars stopped. Everything was jammed.
"What the?!" -Arnav cursed and hit the stirring wheel.
"Don't what-the'! Go and see what all this is about." - Khushi suggested, forgetting the uncomfortable atmosphere.
Arnav looked around and saw Akash getting out of the car.
A few minutes later Akash came with a huge smile on his face.
"Bhai there is a little carnival going on and the traffic will stay blocked for a while." -Akash told them gladly.
"Damn it! Why are you smiling then? We're stuck." -Arnav gritted his teeth.
"Bhai... I was thinking we could park our cars and have some fun no?"
"YES!" -Khushi beamed in excitement.
Arnav was about to deny without any hesitation but then he turned to look at Khushi and his heart melted with it.
"Kyun Bhai?" -Akash looked at Arnav as he swallowed his anger and nodded stiffly.
That was a first. Akash thought.
And then they all got off their cars and entered the carnival. With Khushi jumping up and down with excitement and Arnav walked gazing at her that he'd made a good decision.
