After Sony TV Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap went on air, almost everybody wanted to know about the personal life of Maharana Pratap. No wonder, our history textbooks only focused on his love towards the Rajputana soil and the famous Battle of Haldighati. While we were always bestowed with lots of information on his fights, strategies and even his loyal horse Chetak, never ever we were given the details of his family, that is, his wives and his sons. Let us now focus on the Personal Life of Maharana Pratap which revolves mainly around his wives and his sons.

Maharana Pratap and His Marriages
Maharana Pratap being the head of the Sisodia clan and the ruler of Mewar had lots of responsibility towards Mewar. Maharani Ajadeh was the first wife of Maharana Pratap. He married her at the age of 17 in the year 1557. Out of this wedlock was born Maharana Pratap's first son and successor Amar Singh I in the year 1559. The producer of the TV serial Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap, Contiloe Entertainment claims that Ajabde and Pratap were best friends who fell in love before they became husband and wife.

Although, this can be possible going by the assumption that Ajabde's father was a samanth in Uday Singh's court, there is no document that support this basis. Ajabde had one more son Bhagawandas.
