| Since its release two months ago, more than 11 million copies of the English edition of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince have been sold in the United States. The book is also still controlling the charts, solidly in hold of the number one spot on Amazon. Half-Blood Prince has now sold as many copies as Order of the Phoenix has since its June 2003 release. Lisa Holton, President of Scholastic Children's Trade Books, said, "We are thrilled that Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince not only continues to break publishing records in terms of sales, but more importantly has received phenomenal reviews. It is clearly a modern classic." |
