NEW OS : AN UNFORGETTABLE NIGHT

Chapter 3: The Spark.
"Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards"
-Soren Kierkagaard.
Raman sat in his car and wondered about her behaviour. It had been many years, but he could still make out her sadness. Something was up he knew, but he didn't have the courage to ask her. as the car drove into the city, leaving behind the hills,he sensed a new thing about life.
He hated to admit it,but he was happy that he met her and somewhere...a small hope..the tiniest of the tiny, was felt that, this time, it might be all. Maybe destiny has played its game to bring them together, maybe.
The days passed..he stopped by everyday not only to receive their special popular beverage, but also to talk to her, be with her, spend time with her. it had been ages since he had spoken to someone so closely, it had been so long since he had cracked jokes or pull anybody's leg. It all felt like it was coming back.
For Ishita here, it was no different. She was drowned in her own sorrows to appreciate life again, but Raman brought back her smile, her happiness. It felt good to have someone in life other than her family and her son. She felt there was a reason why she couldn't skip coming to YOLO everyday. She felt happy and fresh.
One day, Raman had a hard time as Ruhi wanted to buy new clothes and he had absolutely no idea of girls' clothes and so after thinking for about 20 mins, he called Ishita, praying to all gods ever revered in history.
Ishita agreed to come and take Ruhi out for shopping. Raman asked her to come home. Ishita reached to find that Raman was alone at home. He was sitting on the sofa reading a magazine.
Ishita looked around, amazed by the place. the theme was white and gold, she could see. The house was beautiful. And that chandelier that occupied almost the entire expanse of the ceiling! Beautiful was a small word.
Raman saw her and instantly got up.
"Ishita! Sorry I was reading the newspaper, i didn't see" he quickly apologised.
"Arey, its okay Raman" she smiled.
"I must say, beautiful house! My god!" she exclaimed like a small kid.
"Haha, thanks! Would you like to see around?" he asked politely.
And how could she refuse that!
"Ofcourse!" she said and he showed the way.
Raman and Ishita walked around with Raman showing her stuff and cracking jokes. Ishita laughed like she had never laughed before. They went around, high-fived, had some hundred eyelocks..it was like the old times..!
They finally reached the terrace garden above. There was a small bar counter at a corner and a hot water Jacuzzi(hot stuff's gonna happen soon in heređâșïž) in another corner. There was a direct way from the terrace garden to the master bedroom, or I'd rather say Raman's room.
It was serene and soothing. They stood together facing the entire city. The backdrop of hills was a breathtaking view. The clouds, the cool air gushing, the flowers dancing and the silver sky which didn't seem to end made them feel like they were in another place...a place that they could call heaven.
Ishita crossed her hands and looked ahead philosophically. Raman turned to look at her. he could see her lost in thoughts.
He moved closer and said "You know Ishita..i have always felt, everything happens for a reason"
Ishita looked at him with tears in her eyes.
"No matter how much it hurts, past is past and it can never come back, past teaches us some meaningful lessons, present motivates us to live and well future teaches us to be hopeful"
Ishita didn't know why but she felt a strike at her heart. She shivered. The intensity and the meaning of his words stirred her. He was true. His words, his eyes conveyed his pain and she felt bad.
All she could do was smile and she said "I'm glad I came to Darjeeling". The pink blush was definitely noticeable!
And there was a spark!
Raman felt blood gushing into her heart, the cold feeling warmed him. Yes, the contrast was felt. He looked at her intensely and said "Thanks for coming here today, I really mean it."
"I know" she said and smiled.
Raman smiled at her and said "Kya Jhansi Ki Rani,ab main tumhe advice de raha hoon"
Ishita rolled her eyes and started laughing.
"Itne bhi mahan math samjho apne aap ko"
And the conversation went on.
And, I know that I am going terribly slow with the story but that's how I want it to be. Hope you guys understand!đ
