I agree - last time we had a Karunya or a Rahul Vaidya who were like way ahead of the others... This year, there has not been someone as remarkable and noticeable as them in these early rounds... but at the same time, there are more singers whom we can sit up and listen to... The competition is definitely close....

I also think that some of the singers this year have got more and probably uncalled for focus than some others who are genuinely talented... I personally think that Abhishek is very genuinely talented and has not got his dues in the contest so far...

Nothing absolutely Wow so far... The ones that stood out were:

Deepali's 'Ab ke sajan saawan me'
Abhishek's 'Yeh dil deewana'
Charu's 'Ruk jaa raat'
Smita's 'Mere dil gaaye ja'
Emon's 'Piya re piya re'

these were all good performances 😊 i feel emon is the best singer... he has been consistent along with deepali and charu... but coming to a standout performance, i thought smita was terrific in zubi zubi... very close second was deepali's ab ke sajan👏👏

i loved the himesh clone. he was too good. but seriously i loved shantanu in the auditions and emon singing 'kya mujhe pyaar hain' during the theatre round.
