Everyone's posting their opinion on Raman lying to ishita so i will post mine too 😃

Unlike most of the persons in this forum, i do believe that raman did the "right" thing by not telling ishita about the culprit. I mean "right" as in "right to serve his own purpose".
Raman doesn't want shagun to go in jail for adi's sake. that's his goal. Now he can either share the culprit's identity with ishita or not. And he choose not to. Which was the right thing to do to accomplish his goal.

If he had told everything to ishita, she would have sent shagun in jail and because she wouldn't have wanted adi to go without parents, she would have asked for his custody and tried to reform it, whether she would have succeeded or not is another story.

Telling ishita was the right thing to do regarding morals but here raman thought with his heart and not his head.

Also if i were ishita, i don't care who was the culprit (my father, brother, son, best friend, husband, neighbour), if they'd run over my mother with a car, i'd have kicked their ass all the way to jail, and i'm pretty sure that's also what would do ishita.

I guess, enough of Raman defending. We can't defend him every time...at least not now when he is a murderer. Yes, he murdered Ishu today, he killed her heart. He indeed is a murderer. There's saying in a religion that breaking a heart is the biggest sin of the world. So, he has done the biggest sin. It is true that we should not hate the sinner. But, when the sinner himself wants to repeat his sins, both the sinner and the sin should be buried.

I'm not defending him because as i said what he did is not the right thing regarding morals. But we are not the one he betrayed, he betrayed ishita and ishita is the only one who can ask him anything regarding that matter.
Everyone is angry at raman for what he did, but in my opinion, what he did was the only logical thing he could do. Again, not the right thing, but the logical one to achieve his own goal.

I want it to be clear that i do not approve of him lying to ishita. But this is what Raman HAD to do for his own purpose.
People are getting upset over what he did but i feel like this is one step in the big picture of Ishra. Everything can't go the way we want it, there are up and downs in their relationship and we're only here to witness it!

btw: quite loved the way you formulated your answer, it' was lovely to read!

First of all thanks for liking my comment.
Is Raman a good parent? An educated, smart person...how can he break down infron of his son's mother...a betrayer? Till Adi, it's okay. But, when there is no Adi around him, why does he care so much for Shagun? What's the guarantee that Shagun won't still tell lies to Adi regarding Raman? And, this Raman also knows. That's why I feel his caring sharing attitude towards Shagun is not justifiable any way. Okay, it's my POV. May be cos, I haven't seen any man like him around me in these years of life. That's why I can't digest his continuous mistaking habits.
