I don't understand why they had the murder take place 12 years ago. Or is that the maximum for murder in India? Why couldn't they have made this 18 or 19 years ago? That would have provided a bit more sense to the appropriate ages.
I agree with everything but the last part. As others have pointed out. I would also like to add that there is not anything off for Aahil to expect to go his whole life unmarried. Not only the psychological aspect mentioned above where he would be afraid of what might happen, a rich playboy living out his life without marriage is nothing big. He is rich enough and has other family, so his plan of living his whole life as a bachelor is not any crazy thought by Aahil.

Regarding Point 1, I am not certain it was mentioned anywhere that Tunveer married the Big Honcho (RIP - fictional character *sob*) 20 years ago.
I think it was simply mentioned that he saw her, fell for her, married her, then croaked (with her assistance) leading her to spend 12 years in prison.

It is entirely possible that by the time the Big Guy, bought the burned down mansion and rebuilt it, it was at least 8 years. So remaining 12 years kinda makes sense.

I won't comment on the age difference (she is 22, he is 30?...yikes!) as I am sure many will jump on it, perhaps not really having experienced what it really means to have a generational (or even half a generational) gap in thinking, ideologies, and mind-frames.

Point 3:
As for A's blind devotion to Tunveer...well, all said and done, even keeping that in mind, I do agree with you regarding his not using his two remaining brain cells.
There is no point in showing someone as 'golden-hearted' and one who understands and empathizes deeply when someone is wronged (a small boy or his own maid), then not having that someone have even a moment of doubt at the advice of his 'Mother' who counsels him to do the exact opposite, i.e. hurt a spouse, disavow his marriage vows, etc.

Someone truly golden of heart would definitely be, if not leery, at least perplexed at such advice from a person he loves and respects.

So inconsistent to how they are painting his character, yes.

For the sake of justification we might say that Ahil was just 12 when his father was killed. He was lied by his step mom that he killed his dad and that she would take his blame. Hence out of love and generosity for his step mom, he got an anticipatory bail for her. For imprisonment you need a court's verdict and the court proceedings took around 6 years. It was only after that Billi was imprisoned (Ahil was around 18 when his Ammi was imprisoned) Now after 12 years of her imprisonment hBilli is back and Ahil is about to turn 30.

Or may be she got 18 years imprisonment immediately after the murder with a chance if 6 years payroll which she availed and therefore dint count this period while saying her years in imprisonment

Just a thought😛

tanveer is like the master manipulator who manipulated asad (well he snapped out of it fast. good for him) and then she manipulated nawab and his little kids. its not hard to put thoughts in a kid's mind and hence tanveer started shaping and controlling aahil's life. for him she is a mother who sacrificed 12 years of her life and lived in a jail just for him.right now she is convincing him to marry for property and look at the way she completely manipulated the situation. she is actually making him think that he is doing this for his sisters and family. thats not dumb, that is just blind faith and love and in aahil's case cruel manipulation. for him, the only good thing in his life is tanveer and he would not lose her at any cost so hangs on it very tightly and believes every word she says. it is pretty consistent with his character who is smart but naive at the same time esp when it comes to matters of heart and tanveer. his character is such that he either loves and trusts someone completely like crazy or he doesnt at all. there is no middle ground. he is an extreme character who is weak coz of being a victim to tanveer's constant manipulations but there is bit strength left and hence he has full potential to become strong and sanam will help him in this journey
