Great post TM and you all have great observations about the current condition of our show!
I have to admit the early days of RR with its desert sands, the larger than life villain, the hot BSD hero. the quiet serious village belle etc was amazing and addictive to watch.
Now, the most important thing missing is the intensity.
There is no pulsating hot passionate driving intensity in the show anymore.
The characters have become blah.. including the leads...

Mala actually thinks she is an innocent victim and fails to realise that by forcing Paro to fight for her is creating a distance between Parud.

God knows if that is what they want. To show Mala as the innocent woman is not digestible. Seriously, Laila acts better and more tolerable than Mala.

Thanks and absolutely great observation. Wonder where the passionate love story promised to us has disappeared? I hope they pick up the threads and bring the promised story back on track.

If we can figure it out wonder why the RR team is not able to. For them it is business and so should be on top of things!

I completely agree with you!

The show was presented to us a passionate love story and I loved, loved the show right until Paro suddenly realised she was in love with Rudra. I know she is a simple, traditional girl but the lack of logic in her falling in love was ridiculous. Where was the build up, the shy thoughts, the way any normal person falls in love?

I also think they completely did a complete makeover of her personality when she realised she was in love. From then on, I couldn't relate to her, didn't really see any real growth in character and as the months have passed, I just can't connect with Paro. We don't get to see her side of the story, her thoughts, her worries. Unfortunately, I believe the show has turned into the Rudra show. We get to see every bit of sadness, worry, tension, anger in him and as much as I believe his story is important, it's clear to see that Paro's story isn't being treated the same but more like a side character.

The tracks aren't the problem, it's the way the characters aren't balanced aren't the problem. Too much screen space for Laila when it was her track annoyed people. She could have been more impactful if she wasn't OTT and Parud weren't just side characters to her revenge plan. Same is happening with Mala, it seems like it's her show and everyone else is pushed aside to focus on her.

The lack of balance and lack of significance given to Parud's love story is clearly becoming a problem.

There isn't any progress in their relationship. We get little holding hands scenes or small eye locks but are they going to progress into getting to the real passion? Just because everything is hunky dory with them doesn't mean they should act like an old married couple in love. It would be nice to see some more passionate and different scenes between them and not just little kisses.

These are good stuff but repeated scenes do get boring. Try some different romantic scenes.

They seemed more intense when they weren't married and didn't know they meant something to one another.

We have a strong cast (Apart from Mala and Laila in my personal opinion). The leads have the most intense chemistry at times so why not use that as the main focus and bring in the parallal tracks in the background.

If you looked at the first couple of months of the show compared to now, you can clearly see that the old RR charm isn't here anymore.

I'm mainly watching the show now for Ashish and Sanaya!

@bold .. i have tried to deny this but its so true...

every emotion of his is shown to us ...
we know what he is feeling at that moment, then we would justify them..

but what abt paro ...
is she that strong a character..?
does she not have a fragile side of her..?

I understand why she fell in love with him. That part makes sense to me. When she realised he was right, she saw all the wonderful things we have been seeing and fell in love instantly. She saw him as a sincere, dedicated officer, a rude yet caring man, a man who will be a hero to a girl he barely knew, stand up for a fake fiancee. They could have focused on her thoughts better. Instead of a butterfly or doll conversation. They should have treated her character like any other girl who is in love with a man, who starts dreaming of a life with him.
Even after the Mumbai trip she was given no respite with Mala's return. What doesn't make sense is why after winning her love why she can't enjoy the attention he gives her. Why is it so urgent for her to be the Ranavat bahu and not Rudra's wife.
