Siddharth Anand's Ranbir starrer is not The Bachelor

There's a strong rumour in the industry that Ranbir Kapoor's post-debut film to be directed by Siddharth Anand is a remake of Gary Sinyor's 1999 romantic comedy The Bachelor.

However the young director, currently scripting his film for his childhood friend Ranbir , completely denies the adapative urge. "My film is certainly not adapted from any source. It's as much The Bachelor as my Tara Rum Pumwas Reservoir Dogs."

The rumours of Ranbir doing Chris O'Donnel's role from The Bachelor originated from the casting of several prominent leading ladies opposite the young actor.

While Katrina Kaif plays one of the leading ladies, Deepika Padukone who stars with Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shanti Om has been finalized to play another lead.

It would be interesting to see SRK's leading lady changing generations over two Hindi films both produced by top banners.

Thx, The Bachelor was an ok movie,did not think it was that funny.
