Actress loves Salman Khan's couldn't-care-less attitude

Anindya Bikas Datta's new film, Bonkubabu, is a laugh riot that revolves around a crazy filmi family, whose filmi members tell us about their real-life film icons
Now, who doesn't like to laugh! And that's exactly what director Anindya Bikas Datta is aiming at with his next film, Bonkubabu. A rib-tickling comedy revolving around the 70-year-old honest but obstinate expoliceman, Bankimchandra Chowdhury (Saswata Chatterjee), the film shows how Bonkubabu gradually metamorphoses with time, for the sake of his family.
An ardent Rajesh Khanna fan, Bonkubabu, being the head of the family, strives to keep his family together. Rajatava Datta plays his elder son Kalyan " a Mithun Chakraborty fan. While Arjun Chakrabarty essays the role of his younger son, Agni, who's a diehard Hrithik Roshan fan, Bonkubabu's daughter Bulti (Suchandra Vaanya) is mad about Salman Khan.
Talking about his debut film, the director said, "These days, people lead such stressful lives that they have forgotten how to laugh. I'm sure audience will be in splits after meeting Bonkubabu and his family members. The film also highlights the pros and cons of living in a joint family."
CT asked members of the cast about their real-life film icons:
Saswata Chatterjee: I play Bonkubabu, a retired policeman, who leads a simple life. Although I play an ardent Rajesh Khanna fan in the film, in reality, I'm in awe of Amitabh Bachchan. Mr Bachchan is a rare combination of talent, hard work and personality. Also, I have high regards for Mahanayak Uttam Kumar.
Rajatava Dutta: My character is called Kalyaneswar Chowdhury aka Kalyan, who's the eldest son of the family . He worships Mithun Chakraborty. Kalyan is submissive, timid and is very scared of his father. However, in real life, I adore Amitabh Bachchan. Big B's charm just ceases to fade. I think Big B is one actor you can look up to.
Arjun Chakrabarty: I play Agniswar Chowdhury aka Agni, the younger son of Bonkubabu. He is frustrated with his job and revolts against his family to marry a girl who's older to him. The film sees Agni as a big Hrithik Roshan fan. In real life though, I admire Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. Keeping aside their starry aura, I find both of them to be very good actors.
Suchandra Vaanya: I portray Bonkubabu's daughter, Bulti. She's full of life and a spoilt brat. Bulti is in love with Salman Khan. Interestingly, like my reel character, I am a crazy fan of Salman. He is handsome, has the perfect body and I love his couldn't-care-less-attitude. He dances well. That apart, Salman has always been a trendsetter " be it with his dance moves, dialogue delivery or the way he dresses up. I also like Farhan Akhtar for his intellect and looks.
