I think the misunderstanding already there as Paro thinks that by rebuilding the mother-son relationship, he will find peace. And Rudra has told her that he wants to move forward with his life but his past is drawing him back into the dark. He has also said that he doesn't want Mala back in his life. Paro may have good intentions but it is still creating issues because they both want the Mala situation handled differently.
