We saw another power packed performance from the very talented singers of Delhi this week on the 1st and 2nd June shows of Amul Star Voice of India...

What are the things that you liked in this week's show?😊 Who were the best singers?😃 Who were not so good?😕 Do you think the judges overhyped someone?😉 Do you think they left behind some deserving singers?😭 Could Delhi maintain the high standards set by Indore?😛 What would be the things that you would rather not have as a part of this week's episode?😆

GOOD SHOW....HORRIBLE JUDGES......THROW OUT AS....THROW OUT ALKA......THROW OUT ABHIJEET.....BRING 2 OTHER LEVEL HEADED JUDGES.....AND THIS SHOW WILL BECOME WATCHABLE AGAIN...

well the show is not really able to maintain the interest in it... the auditions have been stretching too long and the open air thing just doesnt appeal at all... they need to get done with this really fast and get to the real thing soon... it gets boring and un interesting to see the auditions... and the judges have been very disappointing... currently it is not up to the mark for me... the only thing is - they have some good contestants - but we need to see them!! 2 days per city auditions and some insulting remarks by over reactive judges is not wat i wish to see... specially with the other 2 shows reaching exciting stages, svoi needs to pull up its socks and get on with the real show... only thing saving voi is the hope to see better singers...

singers this week - ishmit was the best and neeta was good 😊

i agree about the judges being unbearably rude..

but havent the forum members watched initial auditions of american idol,indian idol etc where contestants were stopped in the middle of songs several times in the early auditions they were rediculed and worse laughed at ..i dont mind the singers being told bluntly he/she is horrible- i think the contestants have watched these shows and know what they are in for..

but i take exception to people making personal remarks on contestants pesonality and dressing(ID on koyal's indecent dressing on challenge,anu malik on smitha and other plainlooking contestants on II3-hefinds them depressing ,JL remark on joyeeta last season or mtv hosts on fameX...)

i feel asha ji was the best constructive judge so far..javed saab used to be suberb..still better than the rest this season.challenge mentors' judgements are very confusing to us but makes perfect sense to them😆-because they are simply using strategies to win..

somehow if the judges give wishy washy judgement on everyone..it is most unfair to the truly talented ones(especially if he/she doesnt have a tv friendly personality)..it is for THEM only THEM I watch the show

Judges on other shows are insulting as well.
Aadesh's comments are nothing close to Simon asking an AI contestant 'if she's sleeping with her boss' cos he paid for her plane ticket to the auditions or personally commenting on a contestant's personality or body.
At least the VOI judges are primarily sticking to music here (from the few episodes I've seen- Indore, two Delhi, Mumbai). Yes, they are rude though especially Aadesh. Alka again and again is showing her bias against certain contestants. Also, I don't think its right to stop a contestant when they're singing either. The judges were the ones who selected them so give them the few minutes to sing- criticize them afterwards.

Looks like we're never happy. When judges praise, we complain. When they're rude, we're still not happy. 😆

Basically, the show is stressing that sur is of prime importance. Judges are adhering to the message, albeit some very rude and bitter comments though. With three shows on the air at the same time, they're trying to make VOI stand out from the crowd LOL.

Regarding the Delhi auditions I think it was one of the best along with Indore. The best singers selected are Ishmit, Srinam, Arshpreet (Ashpreet), Chaitanya and Neeta. So far, I'm enjoying the auditions. I like the fact the singers aren't just singing for a few seconds. With some shows, you can't figure out who is good or bad until many weeks into the show.

Things I would not have had a part of the show:- Aadesh's extremely rude behavior. He needs to take some anger management classes. 😆

Looking fwd to hearing Toshi in the Jaipur auditions too. This week should be great! 😃

I think you said it Sonyaee, we always seem to be complaining... We never seem to be one satisfied lot...

The judges in all the contests are rude.. Havent we seen Anu Malik in Indian Idol.. Havent we seen Himesh in C2007, they have all been pretty demeaning at times...

This is one show that is always saying ki suro se samjhauta nahi, and I think its sticking by that.. only perhaps the way its doing could be a bit more milder to get a more popular vote...

As for the auditions stretching more, I think some of us are feeling that all the more as Indian Idol is already up for public voting and C2007 is in round 2.. But arent we enjoying the melodious singers of these shows.. In fact, even the not selected singers here would give som of the contestants of the other shows a run for their money... I am actually eagerly awaiting the final line-up when all the singers will be selected from the different cities and then will be taken to Mumbai for further polishing... And at the same time, I am enjoying the journey thoroughly as well...

As for the show this week...

I think, I absolutely enjoyed the performances of Ishmeet, Chaitanya and Ashpreet.... They were just awesome. not sure why they even had to think twice about Chaitanya... I think Dipin was very very good as well....

Personally, I thought that Neeta and Aditi were overhyped by the judges... Aditi may have a good classical base, but when she was asked in promptu to sing Zaraa Zaraa, she was not impressive at all... How I wish that Rishitha was selected over one of the 2 above.. I thought she has awesome potential....

Some of the things that pulled the show down was the wui wui wui of Adesh!!! Whats wrong with him, I wonder.. and What was that with that lady suddenly wanting to sing saying that she had cancer... Gajji - its better if you keep the focus on music and leave all this non musical elements out of the show please!

Overall, dilwaalon ki delhi had a lot of dil se gaane waale singers, and it was a gain for us 😃

The friday show was just okk with only two good singers i.e. Ishmit and Chaitanya.... but three were selected.....

Neeta did not impress me in beginning but she picked up the song well later.... I dont think Rishita was better than her..... she was shaking a lot in first song.... she sang second song better though.......

Second episode of Delhi was fabulous..... but I did nt like Aditi.... she has some medical problem but that can't reason her bad start to song..... She has to do justice to song and she cant say in future rounds that she cd nt do well because of medical problems.... Other than Aaditi I think everyone selected, deserved the selection...... the Delhi contestants were excellent in pronunciation and surs, I think even better than Indore😊......

Overall it gave some really good and original voices and surili voices.....😊......

Regarding judges behaviour...... Aadesh was really rude, but i completely concur with Abhijeet and Alka this time whatever they commented😊

They are telling again and again that only Sur counts,appearances and other factors dont.That is the best part of the show.Seems Gaj ji was compelled to go with the gimmicks in Zee shows.
Delhi 2 and Indore singers are really very good.It seems voting will start only after final 12 are selected.The show will pick up then and ,hopefully,surpass II 3 and SRGMP challenge.
Ashpreet was the best.

Jaya are you related with Star Plus or with Siababa telefilms? Your post sounds like Newsletter / Press Release issued by Star Plus. 😉

I don't think the show is anyway near C2007.

as per the rules we are not allowed to crticise another show among ourselves as other forum members coming here may get hurt..

but we can post hate threads on other forums...i cannot bring myself to do that because..my purpose will be to only hurt members who are fond of their fav show,nothing else.

this is a new forum with a brand new show..most of us who post here are from the other two music shows.

why do people post these hate threads? is it because we dont have a massive dedicated fan base here and they think they can get away with it?

i find myself becoming increasingly defensive...when a show breaks up-especially a much loved long running show like saregama.it is only natural to favour one more than the other.

gajji had to give up the rights to his, show his brainchild-saregama to the zee bosses-title included,but to me SVOI is the real SRGMP..WE have the creator-producer-gajendra,long time much loved host shaan,jatin-lalit and adesh shrivatsav from 2005,abhijit and alka from lil champs,so many past singers-sanchari,abhas,priyani and others on this show..to me this is the REAL THING even if the name has changed.


other shows have had a headstart of 2 weeks..and a huge brand identity..and huge forums..we are the underdogs for now.

i hereby promise not to mention any other show on this forum..i will also take secret delight in wondering about the reason why more and more people are feeling compelled to post negative threads here😆 😉
