Ganga was not bold. She desired to marry Jagya, was seen shedding tears for him and again and again using "what rishta they have" but never openly expressing her intention of marriage with Jagya, was never shown to even think about romance (compared to vulgar ways of Rasika). Though she did show selfish streaks like celebrating teej or writing the letter only to Jagya etc. Only boldness in the context of village upbringing and living in a village was - discussions with Jagya during nights when none of the family was around, going to Jagya's room freely, going out with him (even without Mannu in some cases) etc.

Even Teepri was never shown thinking about physical relationship. So, we can say, creatives do want to show city women in bad light.

Nothing new here. Women's sexuality have traditionally been demonised in most media, and add to that the Balika Vadhu Creatives' aversion to urban working women.
