A common person, like you and me can easily divide colours of love into two categories.

1. The kind of love that is like the hunger of your heart and the addiction of your soul. Its insecure, its scared, its pure, its committed, its possessive, its obsessive, its selfish, its so aggressive that it wants to bind the loved one in such a bond that the loved merges into us. Its pure in the soulseed but is a victim of the worldly wind and human flaws . Its vulnerable, injured , passionate , intense and demands complete devotion and surrender. That is the love of a mortal.

2. The kind of love that is like the enlightenment of the soul and release of the heart from all needs and desires of 'self'. It understands in stage 1 itself that the loved one is and will always be a few inches taller than us. It gives, forgives, embraces , engulfs , liberates and purifies the soul. It is selfless and its attachment is the same as the attachment of nature to us mortals. It watches, nurtures, heals , prays for the loved one but has no condition that it must be loved back. It looks at you and sees a million stars and smiles , hoping and praying that wherever you go, the love and its blessings will keep you safe until we meet again. That is the love of a mystic.

And that, sums up today's episode. The love story of a mortal and a mystic - yet to find a common ground but unified still, transcending their two different worlds.

The title comes from the song " Qatra -Qatra milti ha ( Ijaazat) " . I am posting the song and its translation below :

Qatra-qatra milti hai, qatra-qatra jeene do
Zindagi hai (zingadi hai), bahne do (bahne do)
Pyaasi hoon main, pyaasi rahne do
(Rahne do, na)

[[Translation: It's given to me a moment (drop) at a time, let me live it like that
Such is life (such is life), just let it flow (let it flow)
If it leaves me thirsty, let that be so
(Just let it be)

Interpretation: 'Qatra' means drop. Here ,since Gulzar is referring to time, so it means a drop of time or a moment. Sudha ( the protagonist ) knows that Mohinder ( Sudha's husband) is not hers completely, but she's grateful for every moment she gets to spend with him, even if it leaves her thirsty (asking for more); because those moment are what's keeping her alive.]]

Kal bhi to kuchh aisa hi hua tha
Neend mein thi, tumne jab chhua tha
Girte-girte baahon mein bachi main
Sapne pe paaon pad gaya tha
Sapnon mein, bahne do
Pyaasi hoon main, pyaasi rahne do

[[Translation: Do you remember what happened yesterday? I was deep in sleep when you touched me.
It made me start, and I almost fell in your arms on stumbling upon a dream.
Just let me live in this dream, and if it leaves me asking more more, let that be so!

Interpretation: Your touch makes me start even in my sleep. It's as if I stumbled upon a dream. And I want to live this dream-like life forever.]]

Tumne to aakaash bichhaaya
Mere nange pairon mein zameen hai
Paa ke bhi tumhari arzoo ho
Shayad aise zindagi haseen hai
Arzoo mein, bahne do
Pyaasi hoon main, pyaasi rahne do

[[Translation: You have given me the sky to walk on, but my bare feet are still on the ground.
Life is a lot more beautiful, when I still long for you when you're with me.
Let me live in this desire. And if it leaves me thirsty, so be it!

Interpretation: Though the time spent with you has taken me to cloud nine (given me hope of our future together), I'm still aware of the ground reality (that you love someone else).
And I feel that it's much more beautiful to desire you than having you all for myself. So let me enjoy this yearning.]]

Halke-halke kohre ke dhuen mein
Shaayad aasmaan tak aa gayi hoon
Teri do nigaahon ke sahaare
Dekho to kahaan tak aa gayi hoon
Kohre mein, bahne do
Pyaasi hoon main, pyaasi rahne do

[[Translation: (Walking) in this soft mist of fog, looks like I've touched the sky.
Guided by your eyes, look where I've reached.
Now just let me float in this mist, and if it leaves me thirsty, so it be!

Interpretation: Being with you is as if I'm on sky (cloud nine). I trust you (with my eyes closed) to take me to a beautiful place, even if I don't know where I'm going.]]

Reason why i used this song? Simply because this song is sung by a woman who knows that her love is incomplete but her side of love is so confident and content, that she has no complaints - and she feels that even if this love is dicey and unpredictable, it has elevated her to the point where her love is enough for both of them.

Pyaar insaan ko baandh denne ki nahin, usski rooh ko baandh denne ka raasta hai. 😃😃

@Vicky baisa thanky so much for this beautiful post..
The heart touching lines in which you described the two facets of love...belonging to both Rudra and paro respectively.
The song...the description of lines...just bang on ...
Loved it so much.
The love story of parud depicts it all.
Thanky for this post ...

OMG! Vicky Sa... I am speechless...You always catch the essence of the episode and explain it with simple and beautiful words...👏👏 . Today, I fell in love with your posts again ... You described two different forms of love so beautifully, wonderfully and charmingly 🤗 With two paragraphs and few lines, you differentiated Rudra's and Paro's love to perfection. Both are forms LOVE... both are equally strong but also both are equally different. 😊

The episode was lovely... The way Paro explains to Rudra was the high point of today's episode for me...
I know Rudra is angry, pissed and hurt right now... And he was perfectly right in his position to shout at her. But I wish he takes a second of his time to think of Paro's love and how hard it must have been for her to do what she was doing 😳. Hope he realizes how deeply and insanely she love him...

The dialogue where she says, "I had to give up something very precious to me in return for your life and there is nothing more precious to me than YOU. If it had been my life that was more precious to me, then I would have happily given up my life for yours."❤️

Why are CV's hell bent on shoving Laila down our throats...Seriously, a kabri is out smarting a terrorist who single handedly managed a whole weapon racket for years... How dumb can this get?????

WOW sooo beautifully written sis..!!! You always make me speechless with you words which are PURE magic.. 😳

You have already explained so aptly about the journey of two people who have COMPLETELY different ideologies on love.. For one, love is ALL consuming and for the other, love is about giving and nurturing.. ❤️

P.S: My paper went so good thanks to your prayer..! ❤️ 🤗

P.P.S: Kept my post short because my fingers are aching so bad since yesterday .. :(

Take a bow Baisa, first for explaining the two shades of Love and second for my favorite song.
The song perfectly fits the mystic and divine love of Paro.
Loved the episode today, how they find middle ground will make interesting viewing.
