Director Samir Karnik's claim to fame was his directorial debut Kyun Ho Gaya Na, not so much for the film (it didn't do well at the BO) but for the romantic pairing. It was Aishwarya Rai-Viveik Oberoi at the peak of their supposed romance, and the on-screen/offscreen jodi raised more eyeballs than the film ever did. In spite of the debacle, Samir swore only to work with biggies. So while he's completing Nanhe Jaisalmer with Bobby Deol and Katrina Kaif, he's planned his next big project, Mera Bharat Mahaan, with Salman Khan, Preity Zinta, Sohail Khan, Amrita Arora and Vatsal Seth. All these biggies wanting to work with you… kyon, Samir? What's the secret? Or is it just patriotism?
