Creative liberties are mostly exercised by the writers for the betterment of any show, irrespective of what the consequences are, they try their best and pen down the story according to the taste of the audience.
I know RangRasiya has not been different when it comes to trying different tracks, but still the core theme and the originality of the show has been always there, creatives tried to introduce different dimensions in the what we call is a dark love story between Rudra and Paro, they even failed at some point and succeeded at some other, but they always ensured that the main theme of the show remains intact.
This whole week, as a RangRasiya fan, it was just like a treat, not because the story gained the intensity and the conflict back, but also because certain loopholes were closed, some potential tracks for future are introduced, the main protagonist and his past and present is being interconnected just to ensure that audience are not fools, ofcourse we are not, we wanted to see these tracks being explored to the fullest, and it was a pleasure when we are finally seeing them build up the tracks. Moreover, every character is given some solid content, the conflict between the relationships are explored, be it Rudra and his father or Rudra and Paro, and even Rudra with Laila, the writers are trying to make sense in every aspect of these major relationships, and i must say that they did make sense.
I know many must have complained that how this show has suddenly turned out to be all about Rudra, and a male centric one . But are we sure that the change is sudden ? I myself complained about it, but later as i rewatched the show, then i could definitely recollect that the writers did not deviate from their story, the story was always Rudra centric, they had always hinted their audience and even gave us hope that the show will deal with Rudra and his dark past, his disgust with beautiful women, his being prone towards LOVE, him being flawed but yet the best, him battling between love and war, battling between love and patriotism. Isnt it ? Atleast thats what i could depict from the sneek peak of the show which was released back in december.
There have been serious blame game especially on the writers that why Rudra is crying, why Paro is so insensitive. Can i say that if we arr blaming them now, then that means we literally misread our lead pair. Infact Both Rudra and Paro were always like that, Rudra being the macho army man, he is still the same macho man externally, but internally he was always that much emotional and vulnerable. He broke down when his colleagues mother cursed him after losing her son in the border massacre, he broke down when Mohini bullied him by calling his mother characterless, he broke down everytime he faced Paro's dejection about his mission, he broke down when he learned that his mother married tejawat, he can break down when he shares the same bits with his wife . Why do we expect him to be robotic when he was never like that ? Why now ? Why we expect him to give Paro the upperhand and solve his issues, when he himself always sorted matters and that too correctly ?
Coming back to Paro, she is the same girl who was all happy and ready to marry an unknown man by respecting the signature of a snake drinking the milk from her container. So I think its justified when Paro strikes deals with her Lord, no matter how insane and illogical she behaves, she was always this insensitive. She has always been the person who is extremely innocent and naive, until unless she sees smthing with her own eyes she will never believe, thats what Paro was and is. So it was foolish to complain that why cannot she trust Rudra or why is she supporting Maala now ? I think CVs kept her true to the character sketch, she has been more about positivity, more about moving over something and accepting it as a sign for future endeavours, she was never a girl to think over matters and give them logical knowledge. While Rudra was always the man who would never let go, be it his honesty, truthfulness, bitterness, saddistic past, otherwise he would not confess about Laila, he would never confess about Maala, he did it only because he still keeps them as major and life changing incidents of his life, every incident if his life matters to him, while Paro is more about being in moment and enjoying.
So all i wanted to say is thank you and kudos to the writers and creatives of this show, I was extremely happy that we are back to the core theme of the show, the Rudra and Maala track has immense potential and similarly the Rudra and Paro separation track. Both the tracks will bring back the conflicts, the intensity amongst the characters, and yes no love story is as beautiful as a love story where there is a solid blend of unity, separation, trust, betrayal .
After a decent Mahaepisode and a wonderful week, looking forward to next week, immensely excited to see the separation track and what destiny holds for Rudra and Paro.
