Even the first child birth was done in maika , that practice was to give the pregnant women some aaram, since the ninth month will be a restless, breathless period for women.Later on the patriarchal society made it into rules. Even in movies we get to see the happenings of these blind beliefs, but never the actual reason behind these customs. Wish BV can bring out the true reasons behind rather than simply showing DB taunting anandi on every occasion
