I know u guys are gonna bash and scream on this post. But one thing I feel is this. That when rape kind of things happen to some girls not all. They are slightly involved. Like if we look at Haya. Her neck was so open that The guy was staring at it again and again. If it was closed properly and no body would be showing The guy would automatically show no interest because he wouldn't see anything.
These kind of things trigger bad guys minds even more. First of all they are already bad and when they see a situation like this ... They just jump into it. Like I watched a documentary on India problem with girls. One girl was I don't know I think abused by a group of guys when she came out of the club during 12:00am or some time near. I know the guys were extremely batameez. They should be punished severely for what they did. But shouldn't the girl think about her own safety. Like why the hell is she partying in the middle of night and leaving from there all on her own. Doesn't she know that these kind of things are common india. If you think that you live in a protective country like US or London England ... Where these kind of cases are rare. The. Go ahead. But when you know ... that it happens why take the risk for just chilling.

Please share your opinion if you like. That you think it was Hayaa' fault slightly. Not completely ..
I don't even agree with that. But just a little

*head-desk*- why? Because Facepalming is not enough.
Ever fault of rape or molestation lies, only and solely with the one who does it. Never on the victim. This is, funnily, the only crime where the victim is judged and blamed instead of the one committing the crime.
- Haya cannot live covered and trapped because of a man. Every man/woman has the basic right to live their life, clothe themselves as they want. Saying she should not dress a certain way because of a horrible person, is equivalent to taking away her right to live.
- Also, wasn't that man already interested in Haya before he even saw her? Clothes or no clothes, a criminal cannot be deterred. This is most damaging idea that rape culture had produced. You dressed like this, you asked for it. You went out to party- you asked for it. You were alone with a guy friend- you asked for it. You are living- you are asking for it. No. This has been a major tool to subjugate women and shame them for their right to live.
- And I am from India and I have worked with rape victims in the past because my mother is actively associated. The first thing we need to tell us, them, every woman, every man, every victim- it was not your fault. It was not you.

What on earth 😳 Even if a woman decides to walk around naked , no man should ever feel he has the right to touch her without her permission. I think that the whole mentality that a girl "brought" the rape on herself because she dressed or behaved a certain way and victim blaming in general is honestly very disturbing. No one deserves that kind of violation and it's sad that you even think that way.

Seriously?

By this logic Sanam or Asma or Latif should make some serious attempt on shirtless Ahil's "izzat" and they would be forgiven for being tempted.

I also think, you need to watch QH 1, where Zoya in mini-skirt lectures Asad.

Have no time for essays, just stop listening to those who blame the victims, it is very wrong.

I don't wanna live on this planet anymore.
😳
I seriously don't seek to entertain these mindsets.🥱
How low could a mindset get? I can't bring myself to even think how? How the hell could people blame a victim for this horrendous crime?! If a murder takes place, do we blame the victim of - he/she should have been more careful, should have saved themselves? Do we?? How could people even think to blame the victims?

And, FYI - A 5 yr old girl, even younger, 2-3 months old girl are also raped. A 10 yr girl is also raped. A 90 yr old woman is also raped. Talking about the clothes, are we?🥱

no one should blame women. we women don't tell tell mens to come and rape its their disgusting thinking if a women is alone take advantage fulfill their desire these mens should be sentenced for life
before raping a woman think about your mother, sister and wife what will they go through if someone did these things to them

Even if a women is skimpily dressed, it won't give right for any men to rape them. A rapist will rape irrespective of dress the women is wearing, what about news of kidnaping and raping of a women coming back from work in a traditional dress. While it is okay to suggest women to take precaution by not putting herself at risk being alone out in the night, there may be unavoidable circumstances sometimes when women may have to venture out at odd times, it is inhuman to blame rape survivor in any capacity for wrong doings of criminal men.

First off...rape happens everywhere...whether it is US, UK, India or even Islamist countries where the women are covered head to toe. Yes some have better laws than others.
The problem is not the clothes, the problem is the thinking. As long as women (or even men) are viewed as objects of desire, rape will happen.

Being safe and precautionary is one thing, but that does not mean one has to stop wearing clothes they like or behaving in certain ways...
