Comments on recent Articles are counted but in a different way as its linked to Views and Comments combined.

Yes new comments on all (old and new) images and videos is getting counted. But there are a few set limits / restrictions to keep a check on comment spam.

We request members to post comments which is relevant to the images/video and not to spam as we will be removing them from time to time and thus it will not be counted.
