She stops in her tracks and looks around confused. Why does she feel like she knows this place? Why is she having a knot in her stomach ever since she has stepped in here? And suddenly something clicks inside her head and everything falls into place. This is where her nightmares happen. So turns out the nightmares are actually real. They did happen in past. Everything comes alive before her eyes. She sees a young Razia stabbing her Ammi. She sees herself crying helplessly. She sees the man who is supposedly her Abbu being a conspirator in this all along. She sees her dost...Mr Rashid Ahmwd Khan burning away the factory...and her Ammi's dead body. How mistaken she was! He can never be her friend...he never was. Her gaze gets fixed on the skeleton lying out there...isolated, deserted. A tear drop makes mak down her face as an image of her young, vivacious and lively Ammi flashes before her eyes. She steps back in shock as realisation sinks in. She feels someone catching her from the back, but she doesn't care. Yes now she has achieved what she wanted in India. She has got all her answers. Now she knows who her Abbu is, where her Ammi's graveyard is, why her Abbu left her Ammi...She sniggers at the word 'Abbu'. She hates this word now amd she wishes that she never came to India. She wishes that she never got these answers...she never got to know the truth. The truth lies all open before her...and she doesn't want to embrace it. It has shaken all beliefs...all her hopes...and she needs an escape. She needs to run away. She tries to. But she is held back by two strong arms. She protests...tries to get free...but the grip tightens further. Finally she gives in...defeated. She starts collapsing and is pulled back. She crashes against a hard chest and cries out. She hits the rock chest continously...and in reply, she is just pulled further into the embrace. No words said. She cries through her sobs...pointing to the skeleton...
"Ammi!!"
She tries to break free again...to run and hold the skeleton close to her heart...the last remnants of her Ammi. She doesn't want to let goof it. But he doesn't let her go.
"They killed my ammi!"
She shouts like a hurt tigress.
"MAAR DIYA MERE AMMI KO!!"
Her eyes close on their own and she goes limp in his arms. He holds her close. He gives the skeleton one last look before grabbing her by waist and lifting her in his arms. His vision is blurry but there is a grim determination on his face. He walks out of the Gudiya Factory with a silent vow:
"Aapke ammi ke katilon ko saaza zaroor milegi Miss Farooqui. Ye Asad Ahmed Khan ka aapse waada hai! Aapki harr aansuon ki kimat chukani padegi unhe!"
The promise that he makes here is not for the love of his life. They are yet to fall in love even of he feels attracted towards her. It is actually for someone whose mother was killed and taken away from her when she was a kid. It is for someone like him who grew up without a parent. It is for someone whose Abbu never looked or cared for her. Furthermore it is for someone whose life was turned upside down because of the man who is his 'Abbu'! And he is all set to get justice done for her, him, his Ammi, little Tamatar...and janab Rashid Ahmed Khan and family. What he doesn't know is that with this promise...there he gets her wish fulfilled. He ties himself to a girl who wears jeans, who is ziddi and has a brain of her own...and who follows none of his rules. No doubt their love story still has long way to go...but perhaps this ishis first step on that way.
-------------------The End-------------------
A/N : It is based on the time around when Asad Zoya went to the Gudiya Factory for the very first time. I had always wanted the truth hit Zoya in the Gudiya Factory...but well some wishes never come true.
Anyways I hope you enjoyed reading it. God knows why this idea just came to me yesterday and I had to write it down. Do tell me how it is.
And sorry I haven't sent out any PMs. May be later.
Thank You
