After Friday's high voltage and emotionally charged revelation, today's episode was reaction time, time to introspect.
Rudra's 8 year fling is affecting both him and his wife.
He is guilty of being the reason for her hurt and withdrawal and wants to do everything is his power to fix it.
She has withdrawn from him not because she blames him, but because she needs time to process the information, she needs an assurance that Laila does not affect him anymore, and the most important, she needs to know what's her role in his life.
He thinks Laila's presence is the reason for Paro's tears. But she tells him its not Laila, but the thin thread of a relation they share as husband-wife is the reason for her tears. Paro always knew Rudra had never promised her a happy life and never accepted her as wife. But she had the faith in her love and the Lord that she will bring out the human feelings of love in Rudra. Now it has been revealed to her that his 8 year relationship with Laila also was devoid of love, commitment or any promises. Now Laila is a catalyst for Paro to rethink her equation with her husband. Her faith is slightly shaken. So the obvious question in her mind is from Rudra's perspective what is the difference between his relationship with Laila and with Paro. Both are devoid of love and commitment from Rudra's side. So just like he wants Laila out does he also not want to commit to Paro? Now she really needs to hear it from the horse's mouth.
If he confesses love for her, that will automatically take care of the Laila matter. If he sticks to his original 8 wedding vows, then she can make a decision to stick to him as she decided first, knowing he will never love her. Or she can decide to leave him after his hand heals.
I loved the transition of Paro today from a faith and divinity driven girl to to more realistic and feeling driven woman.
I really loved the sister bonding between Paro and Maithili.
What a lovely relationship they share. Maithili instinctively knows when her little sister is hurting.
Paro does not hide anything from her jija and shares all her pain.
That is something I want to commend the makers for. There is so much transparency and openness in all the relationships. No one hides anything from the other for a higher good (whatever that is?)
Beautiful acting by Sanaya Irani. She captures the screen like no one. Her screen presence and performance are top notch. She is very natural and spontaneous. It never comes across like she is acting, that I usually find with other actresses. Today my husband is the one who reminded me about watching the show. He watches just for her acting.
Also loved that actors playing Rudra, Maithili and Dilsher. Rudra's emotions were very well done today.
Parting thoughts...
Rudra does not have to let Laila out, he has to just let Paro in!
This is a test of Paro's faith and Rudra's love.
