Pretty and popular Preetika Rao aka Aaliya of Colors' Beintehaa is riding high on success these days. Coming from a Bollywood family, Preetika chose small screen to make her debut and here she is ruling hearts of millions! In a very short span of time, this sensible actress has a huge fan following who love her just the way she is! Her character of Aaliya is much appreciated as she gave her heart and soul to it. Your fan following is increasing day by day, how do you feel about such a tremendous response?
It feels great to receive so much love from all over the world. I really look forward to messages and tweets that's I receive from my fans everyday as it makes me glad and makes my day easier.
Why you chose Beintehaa as your debut on Television?
Beintehaa just happened at the right time. I was watching Pakistani serials at that point and loved the drama and story lines. Some where I connected with the Beintehaa plot and within few days we were all on board for Beintehaa.
How similar is Aaliya's character to Preetika?
A bit similar for sure. But I just take some time before doing something, unlike Aaliya who is spontaneous.
Your chemistry with Harshad is very cute, how comfortable are you working with him? How will you rate him as a person?
We have become friends now and it's been really great to know him in fact we are still getting to know each other. The team was sure about the chemistry to work and we are glad it's working. He as a person is very cool and very cordial to work with.
What is Preetika's dream role and why?
Something from 1950's may be a role on a life of an actress. I love black and white films.
Will we see you on big screen as well?
I had been offered many roles, but its destiny and by choice I'm doing Beintehaa which I am very glad that I am part of it. For movies let's see.
What's in future?
I believe in destiny as I said earlier.
What is your sister Amrita's feedback on your role?
She is very proud of me. Wherever she goes people praise me and appreciate my work. And she gets happy to hear about it. And yes I believe she is the best person to give feedback to me.
Which is the best compliment you have got for Aaliya's character?
I have got compliments from fans saying that I'm their idol! Which is a great thing to hear in a very short span of time.
What is style for you?
Comfort and classy.
Are you a street shopper or designer wear?
Definitely designer wear!
What you do to unwind yourself?
I love to hangout with my cousins, go for a drive by the beach.
Recently we heard that you threatened the production house to quit, is it true?
We'll is it! I will make an announcement if I quit! I'm here to stay!
Have you made any friends in TV Industry, who?
Have met many of my colleague during holiday shoot and they were all great. But mainly I am right now with my team and we have become good friends.
