Celebrating 100 Episodes of Beintehaa, I have brought to you a few words from our dearest Vivek Sir widely known as Fahaad Bhai from Beintehaa. Let's all relive the moments from this journey as he talks about his character and their trip from the beginning till now.
Q.1) On 15th May Beintehaa is going to complete 100 Episodes, which according to us is 100 days of glory. Since it has been quite a long journey and I assume you have a lot to tell us about it. So let's begin from the beginning. When you got the offer to do the character of Fahaad, did you think that this show would grab the attention of so many audience and would create a buzz worldwide?
Vivek: An artistic endeavour is the start of a new journey. Accepting work on a series is like taking a first step forward not knowing what lies ahead and where this journey will take u but regardless you keep walking, a thrill for seeking adventures on that unknown path. The bends on the road ought not to dent your artistic bent. I am pleasantly surprised with the magnitude of success of the show.Widespread viewership is reflective of acceptance of the show and the connect it's characters have made with the audiences globally.
Q.2) Earlier you were seen in Parvarish as Rocky Mama. Of course Fahaad is a totally different character from that. So how difficult was it to adapt to the this character, or was it at all?
Vivek: Not at all difficult. It's what I live for. Skills are honed with time and experiences and distilling knowledge accumulated from them into wisdom which is implemented upon in your work.
Q.3) After the track of share business and bookies, we have seen a tremendous growth in Fahaad's character. He has become a responsible and family oriented person. How are you enjoying this growth? And what kind of reviews have you been getting from your fans and the ones close to you?
Vivek: There was no straight-jacket of a well etched characterisation for Fahaad and hence it offers that scope of growth. Many colours , many shades ...
Q.4) We all know Vivek Madaan as a spectacular Actor. But recently, we have come across your keen passion for Photography. Your photography fanpage on Facebook has also gotten really popular all over. Would you like to share a few words about this hobby of yours?
Vivek: Moments of inspiration present themselves on sets. Despite the painstakingly laborious shooting process I like to remain receptive of these glimpses which I capture with the my faithful companion ( my iPhone ). Little did I realise that it would be so well received. I always believe work should be inspiring for all without compromising on its entertainment or aesthetic value.It humbles me that it was dedicated to my passionate persistence of photographing images on the sets.
Q.5) As we were saying earlier, Beintehaa is soon completing 100 Episodes. Throughout the journey, has there been any incidence that has touched your heart dearly? Or any memorable moment on the sets that you would like to share with us all?
Vivek: I was delivering a longish monologue in a state of absolute concentration where I reprimand Shazia & Nafisa for misbehaving with the kids. It's the very first time you see a decisive turnaround of this otherwise genteel character. After the take , the crew members spontaneously lauded with a thunderous applause. It was quite a moment ! Lamentably , many lines were edited out of that scene in the episode telecast on-air...
Q.6) We know you are a very friendly person. So how well is your bonding with your co Stars? Who according to you has been the most supportive throughout?
Vivek: I share the room with Harshad & am glad that we share a very good rapport. Gunjan & I get along like house on fire ; she's almost like a kid brother to me. Namrata inspires me in ways I am yet to comprehend fully. Suchi brings the roof down with her hilarious antics and indefatigable spirits.I always seek Naved Saab's counsel when I get stuck in articulation in Urdu.He's always been a gracious man & an ever supportive guiding force.
Q.7) Apart from your reel life, how different is Vivek from Fahaad?
Vivek: Let this remain a mystery. I would like to be known through my work ...
My work is 'me'.
Q.8) A clichd question that is asked to every celebrity: I would ask that too. (laughs). What would your profession be if you weren't an actor?
Vivek: A chef. I love culinary arts : Foods and flavours. Or almost inevitably a photographer.
Q.9) What was the best thing you discovered through Beintehaa and your character that you would like to apply in your life?
Vivek: There is strength in solidarity. Akeley hum kuch bhi nahin ...
Q.10) Lastly, what is the message would you like to convey to your fans? And anything you'd say for the controversial speakers and stalkers of the virtual and real world?
Vivek: I'm indebted in gratitude to all the viewers and appreciative fans for such overwhelming love and affections. It's the fuel that nurtures my creative fires ... For the cynics , I would quote a line from a Bob Dylan song : Don't criticise what you don't understand. Peace ...
