Helloo Everyone 🤗 Here I am with the first chapter of my SS. Hope you enjoy it 😊

He was quietly sitting in the passenger seat looking out of the window, casually observing the passing vehicles and buildings. From time to time he would look at the person sitting next to him driving the car. They were unusually quiet today as if they were at a loss for words. None of them were ready to be the first to break the silence. By looking at her, it may appear to anyone that she is simply concentrating on her driving and focusing on the road, but he knew better. It's not like she was a new driver...rather he knew that she was simply upset and worried about his sudden departure. He smiled at that realisation. He was quietly observing her from time to time as they made their journey. He noticed she was frowning slightly and her forehead was creased...even with this expression he found her cute.

Finally they reached the airport. She parked the car and turned off the engine. When she turned to look at him, she found him looking at her, perhaps waiting for some response from her. But all she did was stare back at him.

He could sense many unanswered questions in her eyes. He simply stared back at her with neutral expression and smiled, seeing her restlessness. He then turned to open the door and got out of the car. He took a deep breath in the fresh air of early morning. Then proceeded to take out his luggage from the back seat of the car.

"When will you come back?" Swati questioned Shlok as she came to stand beside him while he was taking out his luggage. Shlok chuckled inwardly thinking that finally she had to break her silence. Her extrovert and straight-forward nature was compelling her to seek the answers to her questions.

"After a month" he tried to answer casually.

"What? After a month?" she gasped surprisingly. Shlok chuckled seeing her reaction.

"Yes...but why are u so surprised?" Shlok asked.

"What do u mean why? It's obvious I will be surprised since u have never gone away for so long" she snapped, trying her best to look normal. Shlok smiled knowingly.

Both of them started walking towards the airport.

After a while Swati asked , "by the way why have you taken leave for one month? Is it something urgent?"

"No, nothing urgent. Baba just asked me to return to Pune as soon as possible. I think he mentioned something about a surprise awaiting for me."

"Oh speaking of surprises, I have got an incredible surprise for you too" Swati smiled and winked at him.

"Oh yeah...then hurry up, tell me what is it?" He inquired curiously.

"Nope, not yet" she clearly refused.

"Why? Why not now?"

"Because if I tell you now, then it wudn't be a surprise anymore" she teased him.

"Come on yaar...cut the suspense. Just tell me now, because if you wouldn't then my entire holidays will be spent thinking about your surprise" Shlok was too eager to know.

Swati laughed seeing his eagerness. "Why so impatient..huh? I will reveal my surprise only after you come back"

Shlok decided to let go off the subject...he knew no matter how many times he asks her, she won't reveal her surprise now. Besides, by now they had entered inside the airport and Shlok's flight number was announced. So he turned towards Swati to take the leave. "Well I better get going. I will meet you here exactly after one month"

"Ok...I will look forward to seeing you again" Swati replied. Shlok's heart soared hearing this. He smiled broadly. "Well goodbye" she said and was about to turn around to walk towards the exit when Shlok suddenly called her. "Swati!!"

She turned towards him and looked at him questioningly.

"Do take care of yourself" he said affectionately while looking deeply into her eyes, his look filled with love.

She smiled and nodded. "And you too."

After their final goodbyes they turned around to go their separate ways.

When Shlok arrived, he found his mom, Anjali, and sister waiting for him, both of whom were very happy to see him after several months.

"Ayi, where is baba? He doesn't seem to be around." Shlok inquired after a while.

"Actually he has gone to visit your uncle Avdhoot to finalise few matters. I am sure he must be on his way." Avdhoot was Niranjan's closest friend as well as his business partner. Their families were very close to each other.

"What? Finalise matters? What matters?" Again he couldn't help asking out of curiosity.

"Sorry bhai we can't tell u about it. You will have to wait for baba to come. He has strictly forbidden everyone to not tell you anything until he comes"

He was confused but before he could think further, he remembered the reason for his visit.

"Ayi, at least tell me about the surprise because of which I came all the way here."

Before his ayi could answer, Jyoti spoke up, "Bhai, at least let baba come first...then you will get all the answers to you questions".

Now Shlok was even more puzzled as well as surprised. Why were they all acting this way? Unnecessarily invoking suspense!? What was so mysterious that he couldn't be told by just anyone? Why was ONLY baba allowed to tell him? He was unable to comprehend anything at the moment. He was even starting to doubt whether this 'surprise' that everyone was going on about would prove to be a pleasant one for him or...he tried to shake the thought of this mysterious surprise out of his head and decided to go to his room, freshen up and get some rest as he felt tired from all the travelling.

OK firstly I would like to say I am sorry if you missed Astha in this update but as you can guess from the precap, she will enter the story from the next chapter. And I am also sorry if you found this chapter a little boring but I assure you from the next chapter onwards it will get more interesting 😃

You see in this chapter I simply wanted to build up the story to the major event of this fiction and also wanted to highlight the relationship shared between Shlok and Swati but mostly from Shlok's point of view 😊

Now that I have clarified everything...aloos and tamatars are welcome 😆
