Well, this is a common thought of a lot of viewers of shows, especially Indian shows. No offense to whatever I said but most of the shows I watch are American shows which are quite different from Indian ones for various reasons. Indian serials & American shows are like two different worlds & I prefer the latter. Anyways, on "Kumkum Bhagya", I guess I am like kinda the odd one out because I just see chemistry w/everyone on this show. In fact, even if I am not seeing two people having more good chemistry at present, I am imagining scenes w/them in the future w/them having good chemistry.
Anyways, people get attached to couples, partly due to their chemistry but for me to ship a pairing, just chemistry is not enough. In fact, there have been a few pairings lately that I have seen on Indian television where I actually haven't seen much sizzling chemistry between them so far but I know if the CV's give them more amount of heated scenes these pairings will rock. This is especially the case w/me & "Ek Mutthi Aasmaan". I have been watchin' this show even though I am not into the main pairing on it (Ragna~ Raghav + Kalpi). I have seen chemistry w/this couple but I have never shipped them mainly for reasons that actually don't have to do w/chemistry. So in conclusion, I have been following EMA but not due to Ragna's chemistry. Another thing I wanna say is a good chunk of the main storyline of a show has to do w/the main couple (s) so if the writing of them is more poor well the overall plotline of the show goes down the drain. I saw this happen w/"Kasam Se" (another Ekta serial by the way). I liked Jai & Bani but then I started to have issues w/them as a couple & the plotline of the show since the writing regarding their love story became atrocious. This is one of the main reason as to why Jai & Bani never ended up being one of my favorite Indian serial couples & I ended up really not liking the show.
W/a good chunk of American shows, just because u are seeing a girl & a guy love eachother & they have good chemistry doesn't mean they'll end up together & the audience who watches American shows are used to this. In fact, a good chunk of the time on them the girl doesn't even end up w/the first guy she falls for. It's in fact a question as to whether she will end up with her first love or not. She might end uo w/this guy that a lot of people are liking her chemistry with or the guy who has a crush on her but she doesn't love him back or a new guy who the CV's bring into the picture later & what happens a lot of the time especially if the girl happens to dating more than one of these guys? There ends up being teams for her + one of these guys & in the scenario I gave three teams š but I guess more amount of people who watch American shows end up adjusting to her & her new love interest & still watch the show. In conclusion KB is more like an American show in terms of the romantic element. I am seeing Abhya, Surya, Purbul, & Surul fans on this forum & this diversity is one of the things this forum has that a lot of forums for other Zee shows don't have šš¼.
