Asha is biased because she should have given green to Junaid and Musarat in the first round, if she couldn't give to both, and she had some grudges with Musarat she could atleast give Junaid a green in the first round, it didn't have to be that he had to sing again, if you guys just want to close your eyes on what she is doing, no one can help you... 😳

anyways, the person who is saying Rahat Fateh Ali Khan style is not good, well, he is a follower of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan is an international music director, even in hollywood he is so popular and everyone loves him for that and if you have problem with that gener, it's your personal problem, no one can help you... 😳

yes, yes, item songs are popular in bollywood. but there's room for at most one such song in any movie. now if you notice, there's not too much of RFK music in bollywood to start with, even in the item song category.😉 so then what do we want? someone who can do an average rendition of someone in a very narrow item song genre? lol.😆 indian film music is much wider in scope. one can tell a singer apart only when he/ she has at least tried some of the mainstream stuff, not the item songs stuff. cant be doing quawalis and mujras and tumris or whatever all movie long. 😆that's all that asha was getting at.😊

bottom line, if anything, i feel she got suckered in by all the himesh nonsense. she should actually have sent musarat packing rather than give him a green. btw, junaid was better second day imo. still i think he sounded better to some folks because of the clothes he was wearing and the spiky hair. but nothing exceptional music wise.😉

Asha Bhosle is called AshaTai for the same reasons that Bappu Lahiri is called BappiDa. Bappi is Bengali and in Bengali it means brother. Its just respectful to call someone that. Similarly Asha Bhosle is Maharastrian . Its a cultural thing more than anything. Ashaji, Ashadi or AshaTai they all represent the same emotion.

I agree Junaid was no great shakes the first day. He was better the second day. Musarath was good on both days but the other guy who got the green was tad better than him - he emoted better. I am in total agreement with her judgement on both days.

Btw have you guys heard Bolna Halke Halke from Jhoom Barabar Jhoom? Its a romantic number sung by Rahat fateh and Mahalaxmi. Looks like Rahat wants to venture into the softer mainstream songs too now :) And he was good too not taking anything away from Mahalaxmi who has complemented him so well. True talent is boundless...
