The viewers have gotten hooked on the characters of Raghav and Kalpi, mostly Aashish and Rachana. It is these two that make us watch the serial, for aside them them, EMA is the same as the other serials, am I not correct? And we watch it because we want to see these two highly loveable people/characters come together, no matter what happens in the story. If the producers should replace Aashish or Rachana then EMA will flop because it is these two people act their roles extremely well. And please, don't ever change them. They are brilliant actors and I want to encourage everyone of the cast to keep acting. You guys are wonderful people and you do an excellent job.
As I looked at EMA carefully tonight, I begin to see the drama and story coming out. I am so sorry that the writers messed up the relationship between Raghav and Kalpi. I didn't like this at all. I agree putting obstacles in even a relationship is ok but not to the extreme at which Indian writers present it. There is no doubt that Raghav loves Kalpi more than anything. If Kalpi didn't have that influence on him then Raghav would not have pursued Kalpi and become side-tracked from his mission to take revenge. I guess he found in Kalpi what was missing in his life hence he pursued her. But he fell in love (which he didn't cater for and started to make changes). Thus, the character of Raghav starts to suffer conflicts within himself. This is natural. In all fairness, we cannot expect the characters to change completely in such short time. Now that isn't realistic. Isn't this the same that happened in Jodha-Abkar? The king was a mean and horrible man but starts melting after meeting Jodha, but he had conflict within himself that does not always make him do the right things always. And he continues to have such internal conflicts. And it depends on who is surrounding him that impacts him. But he is always in conflict.
In Raghav's case, when Kalpi is around him he is influenced in one way. Now that his mother is around him, he becomes influenced again. The stone-hearted, cold and revenge-oriented Raghav takes over rather than the lovey-dovey Raghav. So if the writers intend to present this struggle with Raghav, honestly I understand it. Although I still hate that they brought in the part of Kalpi's wedding and make them suffer.
But one thing remains sure: Raghav loves Kalpi and wants to be with her. But because of the conflict within him, he sees the relationship with Paaki differently. It is a business deal which he may annul after getting his revenge. He told Kalpi that tonight, didn't he? He wanted to clear things before marrying. But let's not judge him too harshly or the even writers at this point. Remember, who Raghav was at the inception. A cold and revengegul man with a mission. He won't understand everything about good relationshps and love. He told Kalpi that many a times when he pursued her and even on the night of the party (in the room where she wore the red sari, he told her about the things that made him who is). Everyone was after him for his wealth and people were out to destroy him so he became a man who loved not one and trusted no one. Kalpi's upbringing is different. So we cannot always expect Raghav to fully understand and accept Kalpi's purity to his hardness given their different circumstances. So I don't judge Raghav harshly. But again the development of the story was weak at the wedding point, even though I understood what the writers are trying to do or achieve. For Raghav, he was bent on marrying Kalpi, but meeting his mother (another poorly developed part of the script) forces him to back-peddle and put revenge first.
