yes absolutely!... however, i c nothing wrong with people's displeasure of casting choices.. after all a show like dkdm is meant for these people .. dkdm wouldnt b where it is today, if not for these people.. also, actors r always always subjected to such criticisms.. n there is absolutely nothing sinful or wrong about it.. its a part n parcel of acting job that every actor no matter how big or small, has to deal with at some point in their respective careers... these 'actors' wouldnt b anywhere or reach anywhere if not for these 'people' who invest so much of their time n money to watch their work.. an audience is afterall the ultimate judge !

Casting matters and goes by audience feedback too. Casting of Mohit, Saurabh, Mouni, Sonarika, Kumar Hegde, Sadhil, Rishiraj have got huge applause from the audience. I still think if SRJ was Ram that Ramayan era could have been salvaged. The whole cast for Ramayan was pathetic no wonder it fell flat.

Now they have learnt from that mistake and got in a very decent and popular cast but wonder if it is too late to save the show.

no problem in showing dissent.. nd with casting choices too.. bt commenting stupidly on smone's physical attributes..???

and just because u can't wait for ur fav character u r free to say silly things..?? definitely this kind of dissent is not a feedback at all.. its mere frustration and shows ur own perception.. the actors r but human beings.. some may nt hv tht good physical features.. but they try..

and as far as audience making or breaking a show.. tht does not mean tht u undermiine those ppl who wrk day and night so tht we can watch their wrk from the comfort of our arm chair

first of all, can i just tell u how much i adore ur thought process! ..😊..its very very pure n noble, n that is y i almost feel bad about what m going to type next..but b4 that, i want to share something with u.. the things that u wrote in the above quoted post reminded me of a scene from FRIENDS ( its an american sitcom that aired from 1994 to 2004), in that scene Joey had taken up a part time job of selling christmas trees, his friend Phoebe ( who by the way is a noble heart just like u ) comes to his work place to c how things r done n she is appalled to find out that nobody buys old christmas trees, everybody wants a green young christmas tree, which according to her was very 'ageist', she takes things into her hand n starts insisting the customers to buy old trees, as a result, joey starts to loose customers n phoebe is forced to accept the fact that people only want young , green christmas trees in a very dramatic and tearful scene (in the end her friends do make it up to her by buying all the old trees to make her happy )..

@ bold... yes its pretty harsh, isnt it?... but y do u think people worship the people in the entertainment industry?.. isnt "physical attributes" what makes them a star per se?.. atleast for us it holds true..talent n skill is secondary..the very fact that katrina kaif is a leading actress in bollywood is a testimony to that fact.. take aishwarya rai as a next example, she had received a lot of negative attention for weight gain post pregnncy .. isnt that almost inhuman ?.. may b yes, but considering the fact that ash had built her stardom almost entirely on the basis of her looks, she had it coming for her...it is strictly a two way street!.. people adore u n worship u n give u all the money, fame n name that u may or may not have deserved at the first place; people wont accept u n reject u if u dont match up to their expectations.. y do u think arjun kapoor lost all that weight b4 making a debut as a leading actor?.. he certainly had talent but he knew very well that talent alone is not going to help.. that is the reality...whether u like it or not.. thats how its going to b...success doent come easy..but when it does, its all worth it..nobody is going to wait for an actor or model to 'try'..there r always better n worthy candidates else where..nobody is going to bother with that kind of patience..n y should they ?...if what they c is not pleasing to their eyes, they ll move on better options..actors n other people in the entertainment industry r rarely considered "human beings".. they r either rejected downright or elevated to almost godly status...

@bold and underlined... yes, true!.. bcoz the people in the tv series r putting up a show for the people in the comfortable arm chairs..isnt it?.. so whats so unjustified?..unfair?..

if what i wrote above isnt true, then there wouldnt have been a Rajnikant, or Amitabh or Aishwarya or kim kadarshian or even paris hilton!..its all about celebrity obsession..

physical appearence does matter...!! but then when you act.. your skill transcends your physical limits..!!
in DKDM itself we have examples.. since you r new here so you might hardly be knowing that how much the earlier Parvati was taunted and bashed for her voice and teeth etc etc..!! but she proved herself excellently so much so that we all still miss her as Parvati

my point being that you don't like someone's physical features... then is it necessary to howl out on the social networking site..?? it is hardly even considered a dissent.. its nothing but indicating that as an audience all you see is the body..!
Undoubtedly it forms a USP, but Not THE ONLY criteria for judging

and for your kind info.. our industry movie or TV is full of ppl who may not be Greek Gods or Heavenly nymphs but have carved a niche for themselves transcending their physical boundaries and to heights umimaginable.. remember Smita Patil

and secondly I see that you are a very thoughtful audience..!!
and must have observed a lot from your arm chair

and I really don't know that how philosophical it sounds... but at the end of the day Aishwarya Rai complemented her beauty with improved acting..

but in times to come no one will remember barbie Katrina Kaif..!! and she is beautiful even to replace Aishwarya in certain ads..!!

people in this industry work not only to look good and get worshipped blindly by their fans,,, they work cause at the end of the day even they realize that there is no supplement for talent. and its the same talent that makes them immortal
