Pratap : The true History
Kunwar Pratap was son of Rana Udai Singh of Mewar. He was the greatest Rajput ruler born in history of Rajputana. After Prithviraj Chauhan and Rana Sanga no Rajput ruler had dared to fight against Muslim rulers and try to drag them out of the country. Pratap was determined to destroy Turks as he had saw their betraying nature and cruelty towards Hinduism. Humayun on purpose arrived late at Mewar which led to Jauhar of its queen. He came late because he did not want to indulge in war with Bahadur Shah till he was destroying infidels and weakening the power of Mewar. With coming late he destroyed his two enemies. By staying far away from Mewar he stopped Bahadur's resources and weakened Mewar as Shah was looting the magnificent city. This betraying nature of turks had deep impact in mind and heart of the kunwar and he decided never to bow his head in front of these cruel rulers. Akbar, The great always praised Pratap for his high virtues and wanted to build friendship with him because he could prove a magnificent general in his army by making him his vatan mansabdar(the mansabdar who possessed Vatan Jagir). But all these temptations could not shake will of our great maharana and he fought alone against Mughals when systematically every coward rajput submitted to Akbar. Akbar never actually met Pratap in battlefield and never had a chance to meet him personally. Akbar was very impressed with Pratap and he later regretted the second siege of Chittor where in his anger he ordered generap massacre of the city and killing of all rajputs in the fort of chittor. This led to a big jauhar at the fort. Mewar family always fought against foreign invaders. Rana Sanga invited Babur to attack Ibrahim Lodi as he wanted to save India from further Islamic invasion. But his plan backfired as Babur wanted to stay in India and loot its riches. This led to enemity between mughals and mewarians.
Maharana always fought for India. Historians who call him not being Politically correct are stupid as he was not politically correct but religiously correct. He tried to save honour of hindus when turks were systematically looting and dishonouring hindus and their women.
Maharana deserves a big bow from whole India for trying to fight Mughals. He developed guerilla tactics which later were used by Marathas. He was inspiration for Hindus to fight against invading muslims.
