Let me begin with an honest admission. This story came as a string recommendation from a fellow reader. Yet I was skeptical about taking this up; not because of its length but owing to the juncture at which it bean. After all I have read numerous stories that have begun at the point just after the contract marriage between Arnav and Khushi. What then would this one have to offer; I wondered.
I'm glad I did not let me skepticism overrule my decision to read this one. For not only was it different in terms of the plot but also riveting in every sense.
I must applaud you for keeping the essence of the leads constant. Arnav and Khushi retained their characterization throughout the 188 episode and still were able to depict something that has not been seen before in any of the fan fictions I have seen until now.
The feelings that the hero and heroine harbored for each other were a focal point in the show and to have it be shown to us again and in an enhanced manner was nothing short of endearing.
Contract marriage could very well be termed as an impediment which was dealt with Arnav in an extremely clever manner early in the story, and then by heeding to his wife's wishes by going through the motions of a wedding. The remarriage element was common yet unique by way of its presentation.
Anjali came out as a surprise to me. So browbeaten are we into believing that the character was helpless and an utter mess without Shyam that to envision her to be someone with a different outlook towards life, a more liberated persona was a fact that took some time to digest. It happened because of Yash of course, making me feel how we tend to undergo an alteration depending upon the person in whose company we are. The helpless and constrained wife of Shyam was an exact opposite of an emancipated lover and then wife of Yash.
There were times when the story progressed ahead on a daily basis. Yet there was nothing that could make it monotonous in the least bit. In those daily interactions you filled certain opinions, small intricacies of characters, values even that have been known to us, and were enjoyed when they were brought to the fore. That could be in the form of tussles that Arnav and Khushi had when it came to supremacy in their relationship, Arnav's inner thoughts that were a revelation in many cases or bits and pieces about the supporting characters.
I enjoyed Little Khushi/ Nurse/ Boondi a lot. Not only did the child add an element of sweetness but also made a niche in the hoard of characters we have long been acquainted with. No wonder she was bestowed the title of being one of the heroines in the story.
IT came as a surprise to me that I would want to know more about Aman, a character whose long remained in the shadows. To be curious about his relationship with Pari, frustrated over his and Pari's frustrations when it came to the feelings they bore towards each other and even yearn for their coming together makes me feel that no matter what the character, you have done them justice; enough to want to read more about all of them.
I enjoyed reading this story to a great extent and I thank you, the author for that.
