CHAPTER-20.

Everyone was busy in celebrating the ceremony and teasing and congratulating the newly engaged couple.

So no one noticed the tall figure standing at a corner,looking with pain filled eyes at the engaged couple.

He slowly raised shaky fingers to wipe off a lone tear at the corner of his eyes..

It was his Veerakhdi's special day today,and he could not forgive himself for being so stubborn as not to attend it..

How could leave her little sister,his daughter equivalent sister like this today?

How could he have been so selfish and stubborn,he wondered again..

His pain was removed by rage at himself,and he stealthily walked away..He needed some time to think up on this..

If not for anyone then for his Veerakhdi's sake,he just had to..

A tearful Veera lay on her bed weeping her heart out into her pillow..

She had not seen him the entire day..And tomorrow was her mehdi..How was she going to go through it all..And to add to her burden her Beeji was in support of the wedding,and she could not make herself go against her too..

The entire day she had spent looking for her Veerji but she had not seen a trace of him..

How could she marry without her Veerji's acceptance?!

Ranvi sat by the fields,throwing stones at nowhere..Lost in thoughts of his Veera and her wedding..

He had not been to his home the whole day,and was ashamed to go there even now..

He knew he was fighting against the entire village and also his own Beeji..But how could he agree to get his beloved Veera married to that Baldev?!He might even be marrying her for his own revenge..!

He had to come to a decision soon..

The next day the rituals of Mehdi started in full swing..Everyone including the bride was sitting with a heavy moody face..All except Chaiji,who was attempting at being cheerful and the village people who were all trying to keep the mood of the party up..

Veera and Ratan both were searching for someone..

Veera with pain and longing,and Ratan with irritation..

To her irritation,Ranvi had not returned home the last night too..

Baldev drove his jeep to where he had been called.

The call had taken him by surprise,but he had complied quietly.For the sake of Veera he had put his hatred aside,and agreed to meet him..

There,he parked his car,as soon as he saw the tall figure standing alone by the cliff.

"To tu aa hi gaya..

[So you finally came..]"Ranvi's voice was the usual calm.

Baldev frowned as he walked upto him..

"Kaise na aata..Aakhir mera hone wala saala ki bulawa tha..

How could I not come..After all it was a call from my to-be- brother-in-law..]"A smirk came on Baldev's lips,as he noticed Ranvi clench his hands into fists at his words..

So the enmity persists,he almost chuckled out in happiness..

Finally Ranvi turned to face him..His face a mask of determination,his stance that of a man ready to fight battle till his last breath to win..And his opponent stood with the same stance and look..

Strong wind blew,at the top of the hill,where two young men stood facing each other..

Both ready to fight for what they wanted..Both determined..

Veera stared at the drying mehdi in her hand,as she sat alone in her bedroom,after all the ritualswere over..Suddenly she started rubbing the mehdi off..It did not matter to her that they were not completely dried..

She did not care if the colors were dark enough!She knew they would not be dark even if she kept them on the entire night..After all Baldev did not love her!Nor did she him!

And she could not think of a way out of the marriage..

She stared at her hands after she had removed all the flakes..

Her eyes widened at what she saw..

"Dekh liya tu?Kinna zyaada chahta hu main tainu?

[Did you see?How much I want you?]"

Veera nearly jumped off her skin,as she stared at the mirror in front of which she sat,and saw Baldev smirking at her with a knowing smile..

Her initial shock was replaced by rage..She whirled round to face him and also put some distance between him and herself.

"Mehdi ka rang gehri hui matlab ye nai ki tu mainu bauhot pyaar karta hai!!!Ye-..

[The color of mehdi is dark does not mean that you love me a lot!!!This-..]"

She drifted off,as the next instant she was pulled into his tight embrace..

Her heart raced,as she tried to squirm free in vain..And all her squirming managed to do was pull her closer up against him.

Now she stood breathing heavily,her lips inches from his..By the time she looked up into his dark mysterious eyes,she already felt her body turning to liquid in his embrace..

His warm breath teased her senses,as he came closer..

"Pyaar kaha se aya Veera..?Main to tainu chahta hu..Vadda zyaada..

[Where did love come from Veera..?I just want you..A lot..]"He whispered huskily as he pulled her lower body closer to his..

Making her gasp out as he deliberately brushed his hardened shaft against her soft stomach..

"Sirf ek aur raat..Kaal main tainu yaha se urake le jaunga..Intezaar karna tu mera!

[Just one more night..Tommorrow I'll take wou away from here..You just wait for me!]"He whispered huskily into her ears,nipping one earlobe softly,amking her gasp out again..

And before Veera could blink,he had vanished through the balcony again..

The next morning started with a ruckus..The entire household was over turned by what had happened..

Ranvi stared at the letter in his hand,as he re-read it for the fifth time..He could not believe his Veera had done this to keep him happy..

This was all his fault..!

Baldev strode into the room to face Ranvi,and instantly snatched the letter from his hand..

It fell off his hands after he read it for the third time..

His hand clenched into tight fists,as he stared daggers at her empty bed..

"TU MAINU CHADHDHKE NAI JAA SAKTI VEERA!!!MAIN ARAHA HU TAINU LENE!!!Tu jaha kahi bhi ho!Main tainu dhundhke wapaas launga!!!TU SIRF MERI HAI VEERA!!!SIRF MERI!!!

[YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME VEERA!!!I AM COMING TO BRING YOU BACK!!!Wherever you are!I will find you and bring you back!!!YOU ARE ONLY MINE VEERA!!!ONLY MINE!!!]"Muttering these words Baldev turned and strode away..

And soon his jeep was screeched to movement,as onlookers stared nervously at this all new angry wrathful form of Baldev,as he drove away..

😆I know!😳Even I get confused at tyms bout which 1 to update 1st..I was wondeing if I cud mk a pole for my readers,so dt I cud finish one story at a tym,and which 1 to do 1st.😳But I know it will be against da forum rule and look too snobbish so I stopped..😳So glad dt da quality is not bad bcoz of da quantity of my stories..Thank u so much!🤗
