basically a MOU has been signed between Cine tv artists association and producers abt actors commitment to the shows..they have to stay in show for 3 yrs minimum and after that they can exit giving 4 months notice period...they have to shoot 12 hrs a day and if tey dont they will b paid pro rata basis...also many actors r reporting late to sets so there s going to be daily attendance with in time and out time...gud rules i wud say but 3 yrs contract s too long...track can go haywire and actors will still have to commit thats bad

I guess I understand where the producers are coming from. I've seen a lot of shows going down the drain once a lead or loved character decides to leave. A replacement almost never works and a show that you've worked so hard for dies just because someone decides to leave. However, I believe 3 years is a bit long, 2 years with a 4 months notice is good imo.
