Friends, yesterday I was at least waiting for something to happen on Friday afterwe were all taken for a ride on Mahaguruvaar.
But MahaShukravaar was absolutely an all-out crap show. As the title of my post says, I am pissed off! I could try to praise the individual scenes, which were good in their own way, but I am not going to try and enjoy the scenes while the overall story - especially the love story - stagnates. That's like saying "Car has stopped. No sign of mechanic. At least let's look at the scenery." Why kid ourselves?
I hate these kinds of weekends when all we can expect on the Monday is to begin where the Friday rubbish left off.
There isn't any hope that Jodha is getting ready to go to Agra ... and in fact she's not even started dressing up for it, she's still oiling her hair - and having "memories" of a contrived flashback of Jalal oiling her hair (which "god believe me" we have never seen before).
This is going to be my shortest post ever, because my comments are brief. As usual let me start with what happened and then go on to my "expert comments" ...
What happened in the show ...
Sharif went to the jungle to meet the one-eyed Abul Mali who was cursing Jalal with every second word he uttered. Sharif said "Don't worry, brother, we both will take revenge on Jalal and take and eye for an eye."
Hardly had Sharif said all this and come out of Abul Mali's headquarters (his hut) when Adham was seen there holding a sword at Sharif's henchman's neck. I won't bore you with the details. The upshot of the scene was that Adham then told Sharif "Oh, oh, two behenois plotting against Jalal? What say you and I take the Agra and Delhi takht respectively and fob Abul Mali off with a handkerchief-sized piece of useless land?" Sharif's eyes gleamed.
At the Agra Palace Hamida prayed to God that Jalal should take a good decision at the DEK regarding Maham. Jalal himself was also getting dressed and he too prayed for divine assistance in his duties at the DEK.
At Amer, a big round of discussion was taking place among Jodha, her mother, Shehnaaz and assorted ladies - about who would oil Jodha's hair. Shehnaaz insisted on learning how to do it. Jodha had flashbacks of Jalal also learning how to oil her hair ( a flashback which showed a scene we've never set eyes on before, I must say). Altogether it was a rather oily scene. What else can I say?
Maham sat in her room looking vacant, anticipating a thrashing at the DEK, and not knowing what would be her punishment - stripping of all powers, jail, banishment? Resham added to her pathos. "I am already punished enough" said Maham. Resham almost agreed.
Ruq sat in her room, still in the aftermath of her yesterday's tantrum, her hair all dishevelled and refusing to dress up for the DEK ... till Hoshiyaar braved her wrath by suggesting that she get ready soon and "add her stature to the DEK and Jalal's dignity". (Huh?)
At the DEK all were then assembled as Jalal arrived with usual fanfare. Then the "mujrim Maham" was called in and Atga was charged with reading a list of her misdemeanours. At one part of this list Jalal himself piped in and added the bits about how he and Jodha were deliberately sundered by Maham engineering a character-assassination of Jodha.
Maham was asked what she thought of this list of saazishes and accusations. She said "I qubool all of them" ... while Adham looked daggers at Atga for reading this list. Jalal was then all poised to give his verdict when the episode "suspensefully" ended.
In the precap, Adham is seen telling his six and a half henchmen "Now it's open revolt season. Let's go and murder Atga first!"
That's all that happened folks, I swear. Those who have not watched the episode, please don't. At least you folks keep your sanity. The rest of us have lost it!
My comments on the overall episode:
I can sum up all my terrific feelings for this episode in one word ..."Crapilicious!"
🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢
P.S. : I just heard some inside news that Paridhi was on a short vacation so they have done all her shots together and are giving one scene per day with her (if you see her clothes too they don't change).
But even if this were so, surely they can at least show some dialogues where she is planning a return to Agra in her own mind instead of showing people oiling her hair?
