"Geet I ..I don't know what to talk, It feels so weird yet nice at the same time to talk on phone.." maan said bit awkwardly.

Geet thought the feelings are mutual

"I mean..It's really really feels good talking with you geet" shit man I am back to 16 year old teenage again. What I am talking?

Geet knew it isn't that easy to talk without feeling awkward after that fight and PDA, because that's how she is feeling at the moment too. Geet managed to start a conversation not letting him to feel uncomfortable.

"Thank you Maan, for saving me from those rascals. I don't know what might have happened if...I-If he got succeeded at ki-ki-kissing me? " geet shivered when images flashed infront of her eyes.

"Simple! I might have buried him 10 feet deep under the ground" maan replied coolly.

Geet surprised at his menacing reply "What?"

"Geet, I would never let anyone come near to you under any circumstances let alone kiss you"..maan wanted to scream over phone.. Only I have rights to kiss you.

Maan heard her gasping, her every moves, every sound comes out of her mouth is so sexy.. Instead of cheeks I should have kissed on her sexy-ever-arguing mouth.

Geet wasn't sure how to reply him; she felt good knowing his concern.

Geet heard some ruffling sound over phone and asked him with concern "Maan..apkey head ka pain kaisa hain? Aapney such main medicine leli? Kuch khaaya aapney? Maine kaha tha Haldi wala doodh peene ko, aapne peeli?" again geet's non-stop questions made maan to laugh.

"Geet..calm down, I am perfectly fine except little pain in my head, its nothing serious..you worry too much" maan replied her feeling sleepy, maybe medicines started show their effect..

Geet "I am sorry, I can't help but to be worried for your wellbeing. Coz of me you have to endure this pain.." geet said sniffling, babaje, please help me...make his pain go away..

Maan can't bear her crying for nothing "So geet..Tell me where do you want to go and when do we start?"

Geet asked "Go? Start? What to start? Where to go? Maan are you experiencing any concusion?"

Maan "Dinner? Remember you told me that I have to take you out for a dinner first before I misbehave privately with you" mischievous maan said smiling.

Geet's breath stuck in her throat, babajee..jiska darr tha wohi horaha hain...meeeraaa where are you?

"Geet..I don't beat around the bushes..I will ask you directly.. Would you like to go out with me for dinner tomorrow?"

Gee was still at shock "Dinner?"

Maan knew her well and what expression she might have on her face, it's a treat to watch her ever changing expressions on her face.

"Lunch bhi karlengey aur dinner bhi? What say? Tomorrow lunch/dinner date?"

Geet again repeated like parrot "Date?"

Maan didn't expect her to jump with excitement; he can guess whats going on her mind at the moment.

"Geet..I am not asking you out just coz you threw a silly challenged at me or in token of courtesy..I really like you and want to spend time with you... I-I am attracted to you and I know it's mutual..."

Geet sat up straight with her shoulders back and chin up.Geet didn't know what to reply to his bluntness.

Maan continued "I know you are aware and concerned about my previous relationships, but here is the deal...I'll take you out to lunch/dinner tomorrow and you can choose where we go and what we do. Everything we do. I won't even try to touch you unless you ask me to. Nicely...deal?"

When maan didn't hear her reply "Geet say something..."

"keep talking" geet replied trying to calm herself.

"What? Geet I asked you something"

"and you know my answer maan" geet whispered softly'.

Maan smiled at her reply; she is full of surprises and never fails him to surprise with her simple sentence yet a meaningful message hidden in it.

"Fine then! I will take it as a yes" maan paused for couple of seconds.

"I'll call you tomorrow," Maan said half heartedly, he don't want to end the call but his eyes were protesting to keep it open, yeah blame it on medicinies.

"Geet.."maan called her name to say something but couldn't say more than a word.

"Umm?" geet's condition is ditto here, she managed to reply

"Nothing..good night..take care..bye" maan waited for some 10 seconds.

"Bye...maan.. rest well" was all geet replied. I wasn't sure I trusted myself to say anything else. I stood up; steadily I think, looked at my balcony and walked into my bedroom. Well okay, technically, I walked face first into the glass door, but right after that I went through it. I had a hard time falling asleep that night. My brain felt like it might self-destruct every time I thought about the fact that my first attempt at flirting with maan had been so wildly successful that I was now actually agreed to go on date with him. I was afraid that if I fall asleep I would wake up the next day and find out that I have been hallucinationing all the way. So I laid there staring at my ceiling and not sleeping until about 3.00 AM. When my body finally told my brain to shut the f**k up if it didn't want me to look like frozen Zombie tomorrow, Today or whatever..

Next Day (Saturday), 9.00 AM

Geet crawled out of bed at 10 o'clock and dragged her legs toward the smell of coffee in the kitchen.

"Good morning...Geet ...err you look like hell...rough night huh?" meera said glancing up from the news paper smirking while sipping at her coffee.

"Thanks, You have no idea how much that doesn't help." Geet said pouring some coffee into the mug.

Geet dropped herself on couch beside meera, Meera "So what happened last night? What you both talked for an hour?"

Geet raised her eyebrow and narrowed her eyes at her "you were awake and evesdropping at us? Did you? Meera how could you.." geet pouted..

Meera "honey chill...I might not be that bright in court alike you but I have done Phd in this topic..so spill it..before I gag you..."

Geet knew there is no point of hiding anything from her, eventually she will make me suffer with her non-stop torturous law points.

"Well, Maan asked me out today, A lunch or Dinner date..I am to choose which one or both.." geet said gulping her coffee in one go.

" There I said it...now shoot.." geet stood up, walked towards her bed room. Geet turned back when she didn't hear her say anything...but the look on meera's face said everything...

"Here it comes! 3, 2..." geet started to count 3 to 0

"I told you!" Meera said grinning at her.

"You already said that..Asshole" geet taunted her.

"Okay! I told you so dip face!" meera threw a pillow at geet's face laughing.

Geet made a face and chased after meera to her bedroom picking up a pillow from the side sofa.

"Meeraaa..I will not leave you today"

Half an hour later

Geet was smashing potatoes in a bowl where as meera preparing dough for paratas. Geet's treat to babjee "So, where do you plan to go to dinner?" meera asked geet wiping her hands on napkin.

"I don't know, i haven't decided yet! Maan might be in more pain due to the stitches on his head injury. I don't want him to drag around the city in his condition. It should be quite and relaxing date. I don't like going to a movie, reasturent, parks or discs meera. That's so boring" geet replied while keeping a pan on burner to make parata stuffings.

Meera " Oye oye madam, why don't way say directly that you want to spend time with him alone where on one else is around...I have a better idea why don't you go to his home, cook for him and have a dinner together and after dinner...you both can sle--" before meera finish up her sentence geet threw a spatula at meera. On time meera caught the flying spatula while laughing loudly.

"Gandi Gandi Gandi meera...tumhari deemag kittni gandagi se baari huwi hain...Besides, maan has promised me he wan't touch me or kiss unless --"geet paused before she blurt out unless I initiates.

Meera "Geet, you are not a cindrella girl still in diapers.. you are an adult and thats called adult content.. Its not a punishable crime to let your crush kiss you or you kiss him back...it's natural thing in budding relationship...waise do tell me how good he is at kissing" meera laughed at her already blushing face becoming more red. This time geet threw cauliflower at meera. "Ahh..Geet lagjayegi..."

Geet smiled and shook her head like she thought that meera was crazy at times but she loved her anyway and meera always brithens her day and lifts up mood. Then she watched meera got up from high chair in kitchen, went over to the sink to rinse the dishes in sink and put away them in the drying rack.

Geet quickly finished her parathe and had just started to feel semi-human again when she heard her cell phone start ringing which I fortgot on kitchen slab. Meera was busy at making cup cakes in kitchen. When meera aw at the caller Id, she ran out near to geet and ordered "Geet! Answer your phone!" She grabbed it and threw at geet..Geet caught it... and fumbled... but meera was on it. She threw her body on carpet and thrust her hand in just in time to click answer and pant into the phone like an obscene caller.

"That's for me Give me that...!" Geet grabbed it away from her. "Hello?..." geet panted over her cell.

"Geet? Are you okay? Was that somekind of a dog?"

"Maan? No... that was meera.. She did some stunts to handover my cell" geet gave her a What the hell is wrong with you? look.

"I see.. I think... Uh... anyway.. I hope it's not too early..." maan's voice was bit rough.

"No...No it is not...oh my god I m so sorry..I forgot to ask about your injuries, how are you feeling today? Is that pain has reduced? Had your breakfast? What about medicines?" geet started straightening her short over her bums nerveously like he could see her.

"Geet..Geet.." maan couldn't more and sighed at her express questions. It's no use to say her calm down..she would again repeat her bunter altogether once again.

Geet waited for him to say something nd hread his rhythmic breath on phone, like he is sleeping peacefully..

When geet din't hear him say anything "Maan...Maan aap sogai kya?"

"Are you finished? katamHogai tumhara questions?..abb main kuch bolu? " maan asked while controlling at his laugh.

Geet pouted cutely to which meera smaked her head and walked away"Pagal"

"Boliye.." geet replied softly.

"You do remember that we're supposed to go out tonight?" he teased..."I wasn't drunk!" geet replied with flat tone.

"So you remember hooking up?" maan teased her again.

"What?" geet heard him really hard; He was just kidding. phew...

"Where did you want to go tonight?" maan still sounded amused at her response. He coughed couple of times to clear his voice.

"There is one place near to my place...it's not that fancy" Geet said hesitantly.

"Perfect... I hate to wear tie on weekends" maan replied.

"It's not that far from my apartment and we could walk there if you didn't mind."

"Great then...aaj mosum bhi bahut acchi hain...baarish bhi hosakthi hain..." exicited maan said.

"It's Punjabi food...Is that okay?" geet asked hesitantly.

"Perfect I love desi Khaana, especially Punjabi food" maan replied. Afte a moment maan said "You're very easy to get along with outside of court geet"

"Ji? Are you saying that I'm not easy to get along with in court?" geet was amused at his comment and asked.

"You can be tough sometimes." Maan replied.

"So do you.." geet said defenciviely.

"but you're being very easy right now though...and I like it very much..geet" maan whispered at his cell, hearing to his voice geet's whole body shivered with exictment,

"Maybe I'm hoping you'll be easy later..." maan again teased her and laughed.

Geet felt herself start to sweat and she couldn't utter a word. Maan"I'm teasing you geet, don't panic... I mean to say that I would leave everything up to you and I'm fine with all of your suggestions. It just so happens that I like simple, I like walking and I like Punjabi food."

"Well..if you like it so much, we can go for a long walk" geet insist.

"Okay, what time should I pick you up?" maan asked, sounding very amused now.

"How about 7 o'clock? I live in the swissounty apartments. It's just behind the stadium..." geet said while looking at the delicious cup cakes meera was arranging on the try.

"Geet, I know exactly where it is. I live three blocks away from you."

"geet?" maan called her name very sensually.

"yes maan?" geet replied him in equal sensuality.

"I like you so much." geet wanted to throw her cell away, jog the three blocks and throw herself into his arms - yeah right dream on jalli

Geet gathered her wit quickly "I like you too maan, even if you do put my clients in jail...and argue back like as if I am the culprit... See you later Mr. Prosecutor." Geet felt proud on herself.

"See you later Ms. Ever-arguing-Mouth."

After Maan hung up, geet collapsed onto the sofa and started kicking her legs and making a noise so high-pitched that it probably attracted every single living being in the building.

Meera, who had left her alone, came running back to drawing room and saw geet's hesturical laugh and wooo-dooo dance.

"Oh! My Gawddd...Geet! Are you having a fits attack baby?!"

Geet came running to meera and jumped on her back circling her arms around meera's neck from back. "meera, he's so sexy!..and so hot..all mine... He's got such a great sense of humor and he was totally comfortable with me choosing everything. He even said something kinda romantic. I've heard that such men existed but I've never seen one up this close...I m just loving it"

Meera laughed at her childish behaviour "Well Ms. Saucy mouth, you need to make sure that you don't frighten him off. You'll approach him very slowly and speak in quiet gentle tones. Put on some nice perfume and let him sniff you."

Geet's dreamy look plastered on her face "Babajee, I just hope he doesn't think I'm nuts after tonight..." geet said while looking up at ceiling.

Meera dropped her off on the sofa "Oh don't worry honey,...I'm 1000% sure that he already knows that you're nuts...and fida on him"
