Hansraj married longtime airhostess girlfriend Lavinia Pereira on December 14 last year, and the couple went to Mauritius for their honeymoon. "It's not a honeymoon baby," laughs Chetan. Theirs was a love marriage and Chetan was dating her right from his college days.
Bonanza time
This is a double bonanza for Hansraj; he won Rs 10 lakh in prize money in Fear Factor's episode two, to be aired on Sony, beating actors Amit Sareen and Shveta Salve. "Amit was really close. Coming back to impending fatherhood, Hansraj says, "My parents are feeling on top of the world; frankly, we just can't wait. This is undoubtedly the happiest moment in the family." Lavinia, a stewardess with Saudi Airlines, is on leave since the last three months.
"She would love to go back to work 40 days after delivery; even I would love it that way. But let's see... it's difficult to take a call on that now."
Do they want a boy or a girl? "A son or a daughter will be equally welcome. We wanted a child very soon," says the actor.
Hansraj, currently seen in Sony's Kaisa yeh Pyar Hai, says he will work harder now. "Fatherhood is a great responsibility and I want to give my kid the best. Of course, I will take leave when the child is born, but just for a few days." vickey.lalwani@mid-day.com |
