I forgot to mention the whole build up was done nicely. Coming alone to 'Honeymoon', they shower, she sees him in the mirror, the hug, he sees her in the bathrobe, the inhibitions slowly lowering, a different awareness probing in the air ...then tea...having something sweet😛...as it's the bride who comes to the grooms house, it is he who tries to make her comfortable in her surroundings😳...& then finally The Night arrives...both dressed for each other...the lead up to it all was so subtle yet can b equated to a actual wedding night in the normal sense.
And Paro, whenever women dress up and their men admire them, one becomes self conscious, shy...wanting to look away, at the same time to bask in their approval & desire... 😛

Ok on to soapy stuff as we leave FLG to sob in a corner

My 2 bits I am posting random thoughts of all the episodes in this post so don't get confused if it seems higgledy-piggledy

I found it interesting that both of them are quite deft in covering up the others uneasiness /inadequacy in embarrassing situations like when Mrs Singh teased Rudra to the point of him feeling very obviously uncomfortable Paro immediately changed the subject to where Mrs Singh originated from and similarly when Geetanjali asks Paro what was she planning to wear for the party he quickly stepped in and said lets go knowing she would have no clue

I also think that random bitchy scene we got to see when she took on those women had a definitive point and a reason Rudra not to the rescue Anyway he would not have been able to defend her as he has no clue how to in such situations and probably glared at them and whisked her off Personally I liked it that she stood up for her values when they called her a country bumpkin this is what Paro is about her convictions and beliefs and therefore very much in her character Every time the writers throw me a scrap when it comes to the integrity of the FL I am happy like a puppy I cannot watch soaps where there is serious imbalance whether it be male or female Takes away my viewing pleasure

She stated firmly her views about the so called country side and city divide and although enamored over the novelty of the new sights and sounds she is still rooted to her own rural roots Conversely when she was drunk she sounded like this excited young girl delighting in her new eagerness to taste and experience what Jaipur the city had to offer as opposed to her Chandangad which seemed droll in comparison Interestingly She did not use Birpur her home village which automatically she should have so I think in a way Mala may have chaffed under the collars or should I say dupatta over the lack of culture ( she has been portrayed as someone who likes poetry arts et al ) and a philistine for a husband and probably Tejawat offered her an heady opportunity into a new world that she longed for inside and now Sumer is someone who is dying to go to Jaipur So I am speculating when the Othello in him takes over that this is going to play in his mind when Mohini's end game begins as he has no idea that she still cherishes and values her own simple village roots and may assume she wants to run to the bright lights of the city just like his mother did

I loved that smile on Sumer and his subsequent dialogue of them having had a sweet honeymoon He had no rancor He is still not a lost cause just misguided and wonder if this bit about Nandini and him romancing will be the indirect cause for Rudras suspicion over Paro or will it be Sunehri and Aman Whatever but that scene was written with a motive

The dance was exactly as you said I found it interesting though in the climax when he over powered by his passions slipped into his animalistic urges / personality she got frightened and immediately withdrew and he had to reassure her to soothe her that it was him to get her to surrender so I guess the beast will have to be tamed or will she accept it

I also think the night they both spent drunk will be his reference point a sort of comparisons and contrasts when the Laila track comes up He has now experienced Paro the whole night in her full avatar and moods so that maybe what will make him think back and reflect if for some reason he goes to Laila in anger Now personally I feel after breaking up with her he returns then he is asking for trouble knowing the full consequences and Laila will definitely be all the more pissed if he ends up dumping her again and frankly it would look like he is leading her on again in fact using in an abusive way so I hope the writers come up with something novel

Something about Sanaya

Sabs I like watching desi soaps with good storylines and where both leads are in balance with neither being butchered to make the other look great nightmares from another show still persist😡 I am not the sort who likes just alpha male characters only and content watching them nor conversely shrill smug overriding female characters ( a reason I could not bring myself to watch Tumhari..although the FL was shown to be strong but the male appeared silly) My entirety of desi soaps experience not withstanding random bouts of one or 2 weeks trying to watch something but failing miserably can be counted on the fingers of just one hand and that too just 3 as I watched only one from start to finish and the other 2 are an ongoing process RR and YHM( a delightful balance still maintained in this soap 😃)

Rudra's character angst what made him tick et al I got from the word go as was intended by the RR team Paro was left an open book subject to interpretation and I found the lack of attention to her sorrow really thoughtless as opposed to his but now bridge under water as the circus has moved to romance and so am not going to waste time beating my head over a brick wall Pointless exercise this be a fictional soap anyways

I did find it hard to read Paro's reasoning but using my own spiritual beliefs and convictions I managed a bit along with posts in IF and with the PDA nightmare now history they seem to have firmed up Paro's character more visibly to resonate with simple non complex viewers like me as well so now I am able to appreciate her sketch and nuances better

When Paro came down all dressed up and looking more like a South Mumbai girl than a village belle I was half expecting SI persona to come out but instead her character shone through in her well modulated Paro voice and mannerisms

It was the same the next day when she woke up and saw him next to her and I thought is KKG going to come out but no again it was Paro Her face in Friday's episode seemed to radiate like a woman completely in love with her man especially in her scene with Maithali

Must say hats off to SI for staying in character and knowing her urban background makes you realize how difficult it must have been for her to essay a role that is in complete antithesis to her own personality

Funnily I felt odd watching her in a sari and could not wait for her to get back to her traditional gear so I guess Paro has grown on me 😆 I am now able to see and appreciate how much SI has brought to the table as Paro so much so I think she has risen above the script to craft this character as best she visualizes working within the constraints of actually having nothing substantial going for her sketch I still have issues over the writers callous foresight but then this is soap so I will go with the flow Real life issues are more important

I am going to give some extra brownie points to SI for the dance primarily for the way she glided so smoothly and gracefully in those high heels Sigh I love dancing (studied a southern dance form as well) especially salsa but often half way through I often kick off my Choos and switch to ballerinas since I find it hard to wear it for a length of time Her 2 step in the tango was so elegantly executed without her missing a beat in those heels as also those stylish twirls moves dips with and around him and to top it in a sari One miss and you will look ungainly but here she pulled off it effortlessly⭐️ A big ask for some one who is choos challenged like me so she has my admiration

Grinch though was sniggering and pointing out that many of the steps were reminiscent of another dance but then that was sweet budding love this was all about sweltering overwhelming passions is what FLS feels Damn FLG for mentioning the elephant😆

Ok stopping my writing and analysis way too much for a daily soap
