TOI:Deepshikha quits Madhubala ' Ek Ishq Ek Junoon

After actor Gunjan Utreja, who quit
telly show 'Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek
Junoon' just two months after his
entry, Deepshikha Nagpal is
following suit.
The actress, who plays Gunjan's
stepmother in the show, also wasn't
happy with her track. She put in her
papers on April 17. "My track was not
working out and so, I asked them to
release me. I don't blame them as
they must be trying out a different
track to revive the ratings. There is
no bad blood as it's common in daily
soaps. But in the end, I am an actress
and I want job satisfaction."

Deepshikha says she lost out on a
few projects while waiting for her
track to develop. "I declined two film
offers " in Hindi and Punjabi "
because of date issues. I chose the
show as the role seemed promising
and also because I was doing TV after
a long time. However, it didn't turn
out as I had expected. I kept asking
them to tell me if the track isn't
working out so that I could at least
plan a vacation with my kids, but
they kept saying that they are
having meetings with the channel
and would let me know. After a long
wait, I finally decided to quit."
