Shlok sat in his seat as if he was paralysed. His mind and brains had stopped working. He sat still in shock. The loud horn of a truck passing by brought him back to his senses. He realised that he had to go to the hospital now. He quickly ignited the engine and the car moved. Aastha's thoughts couldn't leave his mind. "Nothing would have ever happened to Aastha if she was with me...!!" thought Shlok. "Why did she go to her home?!!" he was angry. He was frustrated as the signal turned red before he could get away. He banged his hand on the steering wheel in frustration. The wait was killing him. He closed his eyes remembering Aastha... her smiling face, the smile that was contagious, the smile that never failed to make his heart smile, the innocent face so pure, those beautiful eyes that said it aloud how much she loved him... "I love you too...!" whispered Shlok. The loud horns around forced him open his eyes. The signal had turned green. He pressed the accelerator and moved on.

Shlok reached the hospital. He rushed to the reception. "Aastha Kirloskar!!" he said in hurry. The lady checked the list. "Third floor... 311" she said and Shlok hurried to the lift. There were many people waiting for the lift. Shlok pressed the already pressed button. He was restless. "Where is this lift?!!" he cried in frustration. He decided to climb up the stairs. Skipping alternate steps he finally reached the third floor. He checked the direction board in front and hurried in the direction of room 311. He saw Avdhoot worried, walking up and down the corridor. Kalindi sat there on the bench in tension. Ajju was sitting beside Kalindi holding her hand, trying to console her. Shlok stopped suddenly. Avdhoot saw him and walked towards him, knowing not what to say. Shlok was still not ready to ask what had happened to Aastha. He knew the reply would break him down. He was scared, not quite ready to take it in. He was trembling. Before he could say anything, he heard a call from behind... "Shlok?!!" His heart stopped beating for a moment. This was the sweetest voice he had ever heard...! He turned around to see Aastha in front of him, perfectly fine. What a relief!! He could hardly believe his eyes. All his tension and worry flowed down through his eyes in the form of tears. He just went ahead and hugged her without bothering the people around. Aastha was confused. She too hugged him initially but then gently pushed him away realising that they were at a hospital. Shlok didn't want to let her go. But Aastha relieved herself from his grip saying, "Shlok?! How are you here?" Shlok just wiped his tears and stood silent still trying to convince himself that Aastha was alright. Aastha noticed his tears and his worried face. Aastha held his arm and shook him lightly. "Shlok?!" He didn't say anything. He had still not come out of the shock of something happening to Aastha. Aastha touched his forehead to check whether he had fever. He didn't. "Shlok?! Arey you alright? Kya hua hai Shlok?!" Aastha was worried seeing Shlok's condition. He just looked at her. His eyes were wet. "Why is Shlok crying?" Aastha couldn't understand. "Has he come to know about Baba's reality?!" wondered Aastha. She held him by his arm placing her head on his shoulder. "Shlok, I understand what you are going through..." she said softly. "No, you don't...!" said Shlok. "Tum nahi jaanti ki main..." Before Shlok could complete, a handsome young man came there and placed his hand on Aastha's shoulder saying, "Aastha, will come with me for a minute...?" Shlok had never seen this guy before. Shlok was very angry seeing the guy's hand on Aastha's shoulder. "How dare he...!!" thought Shlok as he pulled Aastha more towards him away from the guy. Aastha was initially confused, but then she smiled slightly as she understood what was going through Shlok's mind. Before Shlok said anything to the guy, Aastha quickly said, "Shlok...! Come..." and she took him into the room. "Where are you taking me? And for whom are you all here?" asked Shlok as they walked in. Shlok was shocked to see the lady lying there on the bed. "Jyoti Tai?!" Jyoti, Shlok's elder sister, was shocked to see Shlok there. She was worried too at the same time. She looked at Aastha. Aastha assured her that there was nothing to worry. "How... What is all this...? Aastha?! Yeh sab... Jyoti Tai..." Shlok was confused. "Shlok..." said Aastha. "This is Siddharth, my cousin" she said refering to the guy. Siddharth was confused too. "Who is Jyoti Tai?!! Tumhaara naam toh Roshani hai na?!" he said. Aastha told Shlok that Jyoti's husband Abhay and mother-in-law Sulbha harassed her a lot and had aborted two of her daughters. Even now, as Jyoti was going to give burth to a girl child, they wanted to kill the child. So Jyoti ran away from home and was found by Siddharth. Then Siddharth brought her to Kalindi as he believed there she would be taken good care of. Jyoti apologized to Siddharth for telling him a fake name because she was afraid that he might take her back to her home. Everything was clear to everyone now. There was no confusion. Shlok was very angry at Abhay and Sulbha. And he was more angry that they had not informed that Jyoti was missing. Shlok took out his phone. Aastha knew that he was going to call Abhay. She quickly held his hand before he dialled the number. "Shlok...!!" she said. "Please don't...!" Jyoti too urged him not to tell this to anyone, anyone at all, especially Anjali. "But how will everyone know if we don't tell them?! And I know Mrs. Agnihotri doesn't care, but Baba will surely take the right action!!" said Shlok. Aastha's eyes widened as she heard the word "Baba". Now she was sure that Shlok still did not know the reality. "Shlok..." said Aastha gently, "ofcourse we will tell them, but not now. We will tell them at the right time... Trust me..." Shlok kept back his phone. He sat beside Jyoti. "How are you Jyoti Tai? Is everything alright?" he asked. Jyoti smiled. "I am very well! These are very good people Shlok bhai, they care for me so much!" she said as her eyes watered. Shlok smiled. "Shlok" said Aastha, "I too came to know about it today when I reached home...! And then Jyoti Tai was feeling unwell, so we brought her here for check-up. But there's nothing to worry. She will be discharged by the evening." Aastha said gladly. Shlok felt good. He looked at the Kalindi and the others. "Thank you so much!" he said. "Jyoti is like our elder daughter beta...!" said Kalindi. "But then, why were you so tensed and worried over the phone?" Shlok asked Avdhoot. "Because you said that you are coming here...!!" explained Aastha. Avdhoot nodded. Shlok looked at Aastha and scolded, "Aur tumhaara phone kyun switched off hai?!! How many times I tried to call you...!! Pata hai main kitna..." and he walked out of the room. Aastha was confused. She went behind him. Shlok stood there in the corner, staring at the wall. Aastha went near him. She rubbed her palm over his back. He seemed scared. He was still in the shock of the thought of losing Aastha. "Did you take the medicines?" Aastha asked softly. Shlok nodded to say "no". "Kyun? Maine wahan side table pe rakhi thi na dawa... I had written a note too...!! Didn't you see it?!" Shlok remained silent. Aastha was unable to understand his silence. "Kya hua hai Shlok?! Please say something...!" Aastha was worried. "Let's go home..." he said in a low voice still staring at the wall. Just then Kalindi called Aastha. Aastha went there. "Any problem Aastha? Shlok pareshaan lag raha hai..." said Kalindi. Aastha just looked at Shlok as Avdhoot walked towards him. Placing his hand on Shlok's shoulder, Avdhoot said, "Shlok, don't worry abot Jyoti...! She is safe and perfectly fine with us! Mujhe pata hai tumhein Jyoti ki chinta hai..." Shlok looked at Avdhoot and said, "Main Aastha ko ghar leke jaana chahta hoon! I want to take Aastha with me right now...!" Everyone was surprised and confused at the same time. "Shlok, I was thinking that I would wait here till Jyoti Tai gets discharge and then..." she stopped as Shlok looked away towards the wall. "Kya ho gaya hai Shlok ko?" she wondered. "Aastha, tu jaa!" said Kalindi. "Don't worry about Jyoti, hum sab hain na yahan...! Tu jaa..." Aastha nodded. "Okay... but don't forget to call me when you all reach home...!" said Aastha. Kalindi nodded. Aastha walked to Shlok. "Shlok" she said, "chaliye, let's leave!" Shlok and Aastha met Jyoti and left the hospital.

Shlok and Aastha reached home. Everyone was worried for Shlok as he had left without saying where he was going. "Shlok?! Where were you?!! Do you know how worried we all were?! Tumhaara phone bhi nahi lag raha hai...!" said Varad. "Aastha, you were with Shlok?!" Everyone was confused.
