Hi Friends,

Virrudh Trouble!!
[15 May 2007]

Smriti Irani, who plays the main lead in the serial Virrudh and alos produces it, has been put on notice to raise the T RPs of her show within four weeks time. Currently, the show has the TRP of 1.22, which is very poor by all standards. Tragedy of situation is that despite of being a good story and presentation, it has not found favour with the television viewing public who continue to patronize the saas bahu shows.

As a source reveals, ' They have been asked to keep a strict quality check and to better their standards of production. Even Sony knows that the show has very good potential. As every channel wants their shows to deliver good TRPs, Sony wants them to produce good results as early as possible. They have been given one month to deliver better TRPs.'

It may be recalled that Anuj Saxena's Kulvaddhu and Renuka Shahane's Jeete Hain Jiske Liye were recently removed by Sony due to poor TRP ratings and now perhaps the day of reckoning has arrived for Smriti's production too.

i dont know why they doing this,

it will take about years for sony to have high trps again, since ZEETV is neck & neck with star plus,

i think the trps for virrudh is good since, its in sony and not every watches sony these days,

the sony people should use theirs brains.

I love this show and know of several ppl who do also...this show ahs
excellent camera work, acting, writing--it is a quality product.....why can't
Sony think about aggressive marketing for this product......after all the
bottom line is that this is a product and it needs to be sold....and its a good
product......

This is by far one of the best serials Sony has every brought out! The acting by each individual is superb! I love it and it is not a typical soap opera!!!

TFS! I hate the fact that Sony is axing shows like Virrudh, JHJL while not shows like ELAS.

If it's all a TRP game, why shouldn't Kaajal be axed first? It has lower TRPs than Viruddh! And what about crap like ELAS? 😡

I don't believe Sony: first JHJL and now Viruddh. I think Sandip Sickand is "Viruddh" (opposite) to quality! 👎🏼

And if I'm not wrong, even Sony's most popular show till date: Jassi Jaisi Koi nahin never had very high TRPs....not more than 2 even at its peak. But it was hgh quality and the management at that time wanted to do something different. Now, it seems, they are only after money. 🤢
