I too hope CV's are smart enough to connect the dots of Avdhoot's land case, Astha's 50% partnership and her unprofessionalism and NA do something in that aspect to create rift between Astha-Shlok or to intimidate Astha. That will make NA more shrewd, manipulative.
@Myra: So is Shlok Shrek only for his guffaw or is there any other analogy to it😉

@Prads: I think Sojal will be late to the function and Anjali will take the blame in place of Astha so she will get the thrashings

@Chitts: There is surely love that played part in his decision yesterday not just his insecurity, go. I am not saying love isn't there , but just felt it came second to ego and insecurity. Rightly pointed out that Shlok never mentioned 'us' in the conversation but he gave her equal share in eating of apple and he asked her to eat first, Arre Jia , he knew from strat that they have to eat it together 😉and he didn't bother when she didn't touch his feet.He has never been a stickler for traditions.😉 So, for him both are equal even though he is not expressing it verbally! As of now I am not sure of it , but he will get there.

All of you raised one point which I missed, that Shlok saved the black thread which he broke on the dreadful night of SR. So if he was saving it so he was feeling bad for his behavior all this while and finally after his confession of his love he accepted his misdeeds towards her. Why would he that!? Now with that I remember there is that earring of hers that got dropped in his office prior to marriage. When did this happen? And have they shown him have it? So, like I said yesterday he had some kind of feelings even before marriage..it could be infatuation, attraction but he brushed it off to keep an eye on his goal! He realised his wayward thoughts in Kolhapur😉 ,before that he was just stalking his prey😆😆

Angie..me too was pleasantly surprised..after watching yesterday's episode n Shlok's public confession, I wasnt expecting anything today..thought tht today's episode will b all abt rituals..bt I was taken aback by the Bedroom scene of Ashlok..

Prads, I am now treating each episode as a stand alone. Viewing it that way, I liked it from the room scene onwards. But if i view it in context of the track, it was still jarring to see one type of Shlok one day and suddenly a different type of Shlok the next day.
Here are my thoughts
  1. I liked the whole "I want to see her face" attitude of Shlok mainly coz tht was in sync with his characterization..he was after Astha..n he did achieve his goal..this scene too was a repeat of earlier scene after marriage when Anjali told them to stay separately and Shlok whisked her away to his room n they spent the night there..bt major difference in this scene was a change in Shlok for better..earlier Shlok could care less abt what Astha would suffer @ the hands of Anjali if any ritual gets broken and also wat Astha used to feel..bt today he thought abt a way to see her face by which the ritual will also not break and his wish will also get fulfilled..here i felt ther was a care as well as respect for Astha's feelings coz he knew Astha dsnt want to break the rituals and disappoint Anjali.Prads, I was ok with his wanting to see her face, but I did not like the execution of the scene. This track was going at one way pace until last week. Suddenly, it was an abrupt change to this totally changed Shlok who was behaving in such a soft manner. Astha too only believe in those rituals that she likes and not the ones that are not meaningful to her. So why should Shlok be suddenly expected to respect the rituals that are not meaningful to him either. The whole ghungat ritual was very ridiculous (and made up) and the sudden respect of Shlok towards this ritual when he had never given any importance to other rituals or suddenly Astha expecting him to give in to her every whim did not impress me much. Also since the office scene, Astha is coming across as a very spoiled person to me who suddenly expects Shlok to fulfill her every whim.
  2. Loved Ashlok scene in the bedroom..The apology was necessary..i loved it coz it came at d most unexpected time..CVs r clever to make us glue to the screen coz of such unexpected surprises...anyways..coming back to the scene..Shlok thought of giving his life a second chance wholeheartedly underlying the fact that yesterday's declaration was genuine and from his heart..though it was not in sync with his characterization but he did that coz of Astha...coz she wanted to hear..(bt i m sure Astha would hv been happy with private declaration too..never mind,.) he tied the same thread with which he started his journey with Astha..the same thread which he broke on that unfortunate SR night...he apologized to her for all the pains he gave her and accepted that Astha managed to bring him out from his shell..he accepted tht it was all coz of his ego n his gesture to bend his knees in front of her also depicts his emotional submission to her...he felt wat she mst be thinking at that time n promised her that he will never make her cry again..little did he know tht very soon time will come where his Sun God n Astha's Bappa will test this very promise of his...I liked the apology scene too as the style suited Shlok. Though in my opinion, the apology scene came too early. I was expecting it to come sometime during Jyoti track because then he would have understood the whole trauma that Astha through his hands. I don't know but it felt as if CVs are suddenly in a hurry to end this track (same happened with Aditi) and since wanted to start NA exposure track (which also is occurring too soon), they abruptly changed Shlok int this nice improved version. Still as a stand alone scene, I liked the apology scene much better than the ILU scene.
  3. after all that cute Apple romance, Shlok asked Astha that she s forgetting one more thing whch Anjali told her to do..touching feet of her husband..to which Astha replied that she will not touch his feet but instead would like to hug him..this was also a repeat of earlier scene of Diwali when Astha had visited Shlok;s place n touched his feet after he gifted her the necklace..ther Astha actually went against her belief of equality coz she wanted to please Shlok n his ego..bt this time she was true to herself and Shlok too dint mind her not touching his feet indicating their equality in this relationship..also Shlok s not like NA and does not actually believe in male supremacy but its his ego which forces him to behave like chauvinist sometimes..this scene also showed that there s compete honesty and openness in their relationship now..they have come a long way for sure..Prads, I had forgotten about Diwali scene. Ok, so it was another repetition this time. But why is Astha suddenly shown to take a stand now when for too long she was not taking any stand. For example, in case of Kavya, she allowed an innocent girl to be scolded so much and did not say a word to Anjali or when Anjali did not allow her to keep the trophy on display, she also did not utter a word. I liked her refusal, but her sudden change again is making me think that suddenly she is going to be a women's right advocate when she has not been shown like that so far. That is the whole problem I am having in last 2 episodes where the characters abruptly changed because the CVs decided to start the NA track. Previously, Astha was compromising a lot (at least the things that were not important to her). What made her suddenly change so much either. Until you mentioned that Diwali scene, I was thinking that this was Astha and so had liked the scene. But now I am again finding an abrupt change in Astha. Maybe they are showing that now Shlok has said ILU to her, she is feeling free and going back to her old self. Regarding honesty in their relationship, they had it for some time now. Shlok has been honest with her since the time she came back after the first divorce hearing.
  4. Another imp point is today for the first time Varad actually spoke and stood for Sojal which he never did earlier..He was constantly by her side providing her the necessary support..i liked this a lot..Varad is also a nice human being with a strong sense of right and wrong.. and he too can be caring just like Shlok...he shd give their relationship a chance coz it too has potential..Agni household is surely changing..everyone has started questioning the rituals/rules and suppression which one has to undergo in the name of traditions... He supported her, but his stand was still muted. But I was ok with this scene because this is how Varad is. What I liked in this scene was Varad comforting Sojal. So there is still something between this couple and their relationship is worth salvaging.
  5. last and not the least..Another imp aspect of today's episode was v moved a step ahead towards the next track..NA clearly manipulated Anjali into stopping Sojal from visiting her Aayi by giving subtle threats to Anjali..wen he said that this house is urs n u know how to run this household, he was giving her freedom of choice but made sure she chooses exactly wat he wants her to choose..Anjali perfectly guessed the consequences if she allowed Sojal to visit her mom n stopped her from going to meet her..as usual Anjali projected herself as villain,,but from her expressions it was crystal clear that she really wanted Sojal to go n meet her Aayi...she was moved to see Sojal's plight..Just like Shlok, Anjali's walls have also started trembling...and very soon those will completely be destroyed by none other than Astha...I liked Anjali and Niranjan scene and also these subtle changes in Anjali where she is now at least daring to ask Niranjan something she knew he would not allow. But she still tried her best. And yes, her walls are coming down.
coming to precap, this actually explains d guilty look of Astha in tht off screen segment..since she helped Sojal escape, Anjali had to bear NA's wrath..bt i guess Sojal was very much present in entire ceremony as shown in off screen videos..then wonder y NA beat Anjali??😕😕 Hopefully Astha will handle this whole issue carefully and cleverly coz Astha has a lot on stake in this game..

Also NA's lines at the end expressing his worry abt Shlok taking interest in household matters made me wonder that why NA s so much worried abt this..does he feel threatened from Shlok?? Does he feel that Shlok will start questioning these rules and will retaliate again.?? he did go away after Swati's incident..now whether NA will plan same thing with Astha so that Shlok wll again be detached from house and will not be a threat to him?? Despite whatever he says to Anjali about Shlok being his son, he knows that Shlok is more like Anjali and is also his own person. So if he starts taking interest in things, NA would find it hard to control him. That's why Niranjan always preferred that broken Shlok as that way Shlok remained detached from his home and hence Niranjan could control the house as he wanted.

I m scared thinking abt Ashlok...bt for now want to enjoy the blissful romance of these 2..

Aeryn, this episode was much better than the one before where Astha was shown to be such an unlikeable character who wants things to be done her way. In this episode, at least after the first several minutes, Shlok was not shown this sudden new character that he was playing the day before. But not sure how they are going to show him going forward. The CVs have brought him down in two major tracks. Now they are starting the most important track and I hope Niranjan, Anjali and Shlok are treated properly. I missed a bit of Astha/Shlok scene but overall it seemed to be more an heartfelt moment from Shlokie's part. He seemed more like himself which is a big relief really 😊 Anyway if someone had a doubt before, now it's clear to see that shlokie is very eager to go on the next level with his wifey...Will he be successful?not so sure...😆 That said, i get that by using that mangalsutra Cvs probably wanted to repeat their first wedding this time with genuine feelings from both side but the use of it made me uneasy...i am not sure i like its reappearance as for me it was the symbol of fake love/shlok's trap😕Too much linked with bitter feelings (astha's side) and ill intention (shlok's side) for it to be cherished in my opinion. This was the better of the circle they had been showing so far. The CVs ruined this track in their obsession for circles. One minute Shlok was vowing to teach Astha the lesson. The other minute he was acting like this sappy person where all the things after the wedding are being repeated to show the difference in his behavior. All the subtle changes they were showing in Shlok suddenly disappeared. So the Shlok of fake love days has returned except that this time he is not fake but sincere. This is very hard for me to digest that Shlok would become the person of fake love track and Astha would want him to become like that. Changing Shlok does not imply that he has to become something he is not. Can they not keep him the same Shlok, but the one who is more caring and shows his love to Astha in his own style. This changing of style does not work for me. Lets hope that they would show a complex Shlok and not the Shlok they showed from ILU onwards. I can't help but feel sad for anjali, once again she had to play the bad cop with no one being able to see her actual plight. I can't wait to see what would be her children reaction when they will get to know her truth. Yes, that is the highlight of the show. The Shlok-Niranjan scene was really interesting. Baba really played his game well, he showed no compassion whatsoever for Sojal but yet Shlok was quick to accept his father's reasoning while he didn't wait long to fire Anjali on the same. Baba still has a strong hold on his baccha, it certainly won't be easy to break it No, how can a hold of so many years be broken so easily. It would not be realistic if Shlok suddenly believes that his father is a devil.

Angie, yes I agree Shlok's change is very sudden. That's a problem i've encountered in many indian soap. They create a complex/interesting to watch male character only to annihilate his very essence under the pretext of his love for his leading lady🤢 There's still traces of the real Shlok so as of now i am gonna enjoy it with the hope that Cvs won't damage his character more.

About Aastha, it looks slightly unreal to me that she'll crave for the fake in love wala shlok when she has been burn so much by that man (whom she is supposed to know isn't the real shlok)

I don't expect shlokie to believe one iota of what aastha will want to reveal about NA. That would be highly unrealistic. Both niranjan and anjali (against her will) have trained shlok since his childhood to believe his father is sainted figure, a benevolent human being. He cannot forget his upbringing just like that!

Regarding the mangalsutra that shlok tied to aastha, I think it is a new one as he broke the locket on SR. Aastha was only wearing the string n that was off since Holika fire incident. The trying of it was v symbolic and felt real.

We are going to be left with a cliffhanger tom as it is the swikriti cermony n aastha will see the real face of NA. Next week is going to be very dramatic. Wonder if we will still get more romantic ashlok scenes???

you have a point Nim_var, they would have shown it ..we all are making different kind of assumptions..I "dont understand" (jut like Shlok says 😉) why such hurry to get on with the story!!
