Chapter 17 - Gore Gore Ye Chore

Link to: Table of Contents

Preet nervously paced back and forth outside a nightclub waiting for his friends to join him. Ordinarily he would have enjoyed spending his evening hanging out at a place like this, but not tonight. He had been cornered by Rishap and Ashlesha into meeting them here. So tonight was going to be like a test, and he hated tests. God knows how many more he'd have to give. The plan was simple enough. He'd make a brief appearance in front of Rishap and Ash, with Meher at his side, then he and his friends would leave for dinner at his family's hotel.

Preet had anticipated his last meeting with clients to run late, so Gaurav had volunteered to pick both Sam and Meher up, but no one had shown up yet. Just then he spotted Gaurav and Sam.

"Thank God you guys are here", cried Preet. "I thought I was the one stuck in a meeting".

"Relax Preet", said Gaurav. "We were supposed to meet here at 8 right? We're just a couple of minutes late".

"Where's Meher?" asked Preet. "You guys were supposed to pick her up".

"We called her just before leaving home and she said she needed a little more time to get ready", explained Sam. "She said she'd take a cab".

"Great!" sighed Preet. "Are you sure she had the right address?"

"Yes", said Sam. "She read it back to me twice".

"Hmph!" Preet grumbled. "She's always lecturing me on punctuality and now, she's no where in sight. You don't think she backed out on me do you?"

"Relax Preet. Meher is a reliable girl. She knows this is important for you. She'll be here", Gaurav assured him. "Besides, you know how long it takes women to get ready". Gaurav caught Sam glaring at him. "Uh...I meant that in the best possible way. I'm sure she'll be here soon".

"Speak of the devil", mumbled Preet, as he watched Meher exit a cab that had just pulled up.

"Oh God. She's dressed like she's going to attend a parent teacher meeting not a nightclub", whispered Gaurav. "I thought you said you took her shopping".

"I did", sighed Preet.

"Aww...I think she looks kinda cute", chuckled Sam.

"That's because you're a school teacher", complained Preet.

"Hi guys", smiled Meher, as she joined the group. "I hope I didn't keep you waiting too long. It's my fault really. I just didn't feel right getting into these clothes".

"It's...uh...okay", said Preet, as he looked Meher over. "Um...Sam...Gaurav...why don't you guys go on in and find Rishap and Ash? I just need to brief Meher on a couple of things".

"Okay", said Gaurav. "But don't be long. I mean the sooner we make an appearance, the sooner we'll get those 2 off our backs".

Preet waited until Gaurav and Sam had left, before taking Meher by the hand and pulling her to one side of the building. "I can't believe you had the entire day to get ready and this is what you decided to wear!" He complained.

"What's wrong with what I'm wearing?" Meher asked, looking over her outfit. She was dressed neatly but conservatively in a full sleeve blouse, and ankle length skirt, with her hair pulled back in a neat bun.

"Meher...", sighed Preet, as he passed his hand over his face in frustration, then pointed to the club. "We're at the newest, most happening club in town. It's for hot and trendy people".

"So?" said Meher. "I can be hot and trendy".

"Not in that outfit", said Preet. "You look like a librarian. I distinctly remember telling you that when you were trying these clothes on in the store".

"Oh yeah...you did, didn't you? Sorry", said Meher biting her lower lip.

"And look at your hair...", continued Preet.

"What's wrong with my hair?" Asked Meher.

"Meher...cool chicks don't wear their hair like that", explained Preet. "It's...too neat, every single hair is in place".

"Well...do you want me to go home and change?" Asked Meher.

"There's no time for that", said Preet, as he looked Meher over again carefully. "But maybe we can make a few minor adjustments. Something perhaps Veera would do in an emergency case like yours". He reached his hands out towards her, but she instinctively slapped them away.

"What adjustments?" Meher asked, raising a brow and looking at Preet suspiciously.

"Let's start with that blouse of yours", smiled Preet. "Open a button".

"What?!" cried Meher. "No way!"

"Oh come on Meher!" said Preet. "You have to listen to me".

"I do not", said Meher.

"Yes you do", insisted Preet. "We had a deal remember. You get to live at my place and in return you have to show up with me where ever Mrs. Preet Juneja's presence is required. And I am not walking into that place with you at my side looking like an uptight girl who doesn't know how to have fun".

Meher frowned at Preet, and clutched the front of her blouse.

"Okay..." Preet thought for a moment. "How about if we flip for it?"

"Flip for it?" asked Meher.

"Yes", nodded Preet. "We'll flip a coin. Heads I win and you do what I say and tails I lose and allow you to let me become the laughing stock of my office".

"Well...", said Meher hesitantly.

"Great", Preet said quickly, not giving her a chance to argue further. Meher watched as he took out a coin from his pocket and tossed it into the air and then caught it. "Ha! It's heads! Now let's open up that button".

"Heh Heh...How about if we do a 2 out of 3?" asked Meher.

"You heard me...open a button", insisted Preet, shaking his head.

"But...", began Meher.

"Come on Meher, I won the toss fair and square. Besides...you said you could be hot and trendy...now prove it", said Preet.

"Okay fine", frowned Meher, as she undid a button.

"Good", smiled Preet. "Now...one more...and one more. That's better".

I can't believe I'm doing this, thought Meher. She didn't know who to hate more right now, Rishap, Viren or the idiot standing in front of her.

"Now about that skirt of yours...", said Preet, as he kneeled down before Meher.

"What's wrong with my skirt?" asked Meher.

As if in answer to her question, Preet took a hold of the hem and tore it right up to her thigh.

"Ack!! I can't believe you just ripped my skirt!" Meher gasped.

"Why? Oh...let me guess you were saving everything from the ankle up for your wedding night", Chuckled Preet.

"That's not funny!" Meher glared at him

"Neither is that hairstyle. Let's see what we can do about it", said Preet, ignoring her glare. "How about if you open it from that stranglehold you've got it in, shake it up a little and just let it flow".

Meher continued to frown, but did as she was told. "That's it, Mr. Juneja", she finally said firmly. "Take it or leave it".

"Not bad pretend Mrs Juneja" smiled Preet, as he pushed back a lock of hair from her eyes and looked her over. "Not bad at all. Now come on, let's go in".

Inside the club...

Meher's senses slowly adjusted to the loud music and glittering dimness of the club, as she and Preet made their way through the crowd in search of Gaurav and Sam. It was the first time Meher had been inside a place like this, and she wasn't quite sure what to make of things.

Just then a small group of girls passed between them dressed in skin tight, strapless, micromini dresses, and 6" heels. Should one of them fall, Meher was sure they'd break their necks. Look at how the guys are oogling them, she thought shaking her head. She suddenly felt very conscious of the generous slit Preet had created in her own skirt, and placed a protective hand over her leg.

Meher literally jumped like a terrified rabbit when she felt someone brush by her. Oh God! Why am I doing this? She thought. Okay Meher Maan, a deal is a deal, she took a deep breath and reminded herself. One little appearance and we're out of here. She quickly caught up to Preet, and found him chatting with a girl with false eyelashes and caked on makeup.

"Sorry...he's already taken", said Meher, as she grabbed onto Preet's arm possessively. The girl just rolled her eyes and walked away. As soon as she left, Meher turned and smacked Preet on his arm. "We're supposed to be married, remember!" She hissed.

"Ow!" Preet cried as he rubbed his arm. "Okay well...can you like not beat up on me in public. It's bad enough that I can't find Gaurav, Sam, or Rishap anywhere".

"Well, did you try calling them?" Meher asked.

"I doubt they'll hear their phone ringing in all this noise, but it's worth a try", said Preet. He pulled out his phone and noticed an incoming call on it. "Oh crap! It's my mother". He pulled Meher over to the bar and made her sit on one of the stools. "Look...just sit here and stay put. Order yourself a coke or something and I'll go talk to my mom and make sure she's not calling me from my building's lobby".

"Lekin Preet...", said Meher.

"5 minutes...I promise", said Preet. He patted Meher's cheeks then walked away quickly.

"Right", mumbled Meher. "5 minutes. What can possibly go wrong in 5 minutes?"

A short while later...

Meher had just taken a sip of the coke the bartender had placed before her, when she noticed a tall muscular young man looking in her direction. He clasped his hands behind his head and flexed his muscles up and down before flashing her a smile. Great! She thought, as she quickly averted her gaze. Why do I always get the bozos? Oh no! He's coming here. Preet where are you?

"Hi", said the man, as he took a seat next to Meher. "I said Hi", he repeated himself when she tried to ignore him.

"Oh...uh...Hi", said Meher, her eyes desperately searching the room for a familiar face.

"I'm Vivek", said the man. "And you're...?"

"Not interested", said Meher.

"That's cute", chuckled Vivek, as he looked over Meher appreciateively. "I like cute things. Buy you a drink?"

"No...I'm fine thank you", said Meher, pointing to her coke.

"Okay then, how about a dance?" asked Vivek.

Boy! This guy obviously does not know how to take a hint, thought Meher. "No...I'm really not in the mood for dancing either", she said. She decided to get up and look for Preet, but Vivek started following her. Meher turned around, looked at him and frowned. "Look...", she said. "Could you please leave me alone? I said I was fine".

"Come on...let me have one dance baby", insisted Vivek.

"Please don't call me that", Meher said, taking a step back. "And...uh...just so you know...I'm with someone. He just stepped outside, and he'll be back any minute now".

"Yeah well, he's probably not so great if he left you here all by yourself. Me on the other hand...I'd never let you go", said Vivek. He slid his arm around Meher's waist and pressed himself against her seductively.

Just then, very much to Meher's relief, Preet appeared from within the crowd with Gaurav and Sam in tow. "There you are", he said. "I've been looking all over for you. Didn't I tell you not to move? And who is this guy?"

"Hey buzz off man!" cried Vivek. His arm was still around Meher's waist. "Can't you see we're trying to have a good time?"

"We are not!" cried Meher, as she struggled to break free from Vivek's hold. "Preet...please...do something", she pleaded.

Preet cleared his throat and tapped the guy on his shoulder. "Do you mind? She's with me".

"Chill man", said Vivek. He put one hand on Preet's shoulder and gave him a slight push, then pressed himself against Meher again. "I was just trying to keep her warm".

Meher looked at Preet. It was clear from the expression on his face, he was getting angry. All of a sudden, he grabbed Vivek in a headlock and yanked him away from Meher. Meher watched stunned, as Preet whispered something into his ear, then pushed him away. Rather than fighting back, Vivek gave Meher a rueful look, dropped his hands and walked away.

"Whoa! I thought for sure you were going to get into a fight", said Gaurav. "What did you say to him?"

"Nothing", Preet said calmly. "Just that I'd castrate him if he didn't get his filthy hands of my wife".

"Wow", said Meher. "I'm actually...impressed".

"I know", agreed Sam. "That guy was almost twice your size".

"Yeah well a man's got to do what a man's got to do. Besides you know what they say, the bigger they are the harder they fall", said Preet. Then he turned to Meher. "And you! Will you please button your shirt! What do you want to do start a riot or something?"

"But you're the one who told me to...", began Meher. "Oh forget it!"

"Meher, you don't have to be afraid", added Gaurav. "Next time someone tries something, just give them the old knee in the right place and they'll know better than to mess with you".

"Right", said Meher giving him a weak smile.

"Well now that all the excitement is over, may I remind everyone that Rishap and Ash are waiting for us", said Sam. "Let's quickly make an appearance and then ditch this place. We didn't have dinner yet, and I'm starving".

"Good idea", said Meher, as she followed her.

As soon as the girls were out of earshot, Gaurav put his hand on Preet's shoulder. "I'm proud of you Preet. I must say, I wasn't sure you'd stick your neck out like that for Meher. I mean it could have gotten messy".

"Yeah well just between you and me", whispered Preet. "I know this guy. He's a newbie in the mailroom at work. I overheard Rishap telling him to pick on Meher so that he could gage our reaction. He even paid him money. The whole thing was a setup. So I knew I could blow him off without getting creamed".

"You knew this was going to happen all along?" remarked Gaurav.

"Yes...but that castration dialogue was pretty impressive wasn't it?" laughed Preet. "At least the girls thought so".

"You really are something Preet", said Gaurav, shaking his head.

The boys hadn't gone too far ahead, when they saw Sam standing with a shocked and helpless expression on her face. Preet turned to look in the direction she was looking in, just in time to see Meher hit a guy below the belt with her knee and stomp on his foot with her heels.

The guy yelped in pain and slowly walked away on trembling legs.

"And remember that the next time you try to hit on someone else's wife!" Meher called after him.

"Um...Meher...what do you think you're doing?" Preet asked tapping her on the shoulder.

"Taking Gaurav Bhaiya's advice", smiled Meher, as she dusted her hands off.

"And applying it on Rishap Rampal", chuckled Preet.

Meher's mouth fell open. "Oh my God!" she said. "I swear I had no idea. First he came up and hugged Sam and then he slid his arm around me, and offered to take me to a booth in the back. I thought he was just another jerk".

"I think Rishap's seen enough of Meher for tonight", laughed Gaurav. "Let's cut out of here".

A short while later...

Preet and his friends walked into the lobby of the Juneja's luxury hotel in Mumbai. They were still trying to decide which restaurant they wanted to dine in when someone called out to them. "Preet...is that you?"

"Neeta?" smiled Preet, as he, Gaurav and Sam exchanged hugs with the girl. "I don't believe this yaar. How are you? It's been ages".

"Yeah...I haven't seen you guys since graduation", said Neeta. "What are you doing in Mumbai?"

"Working. And you?" asked Preet.

"Can't you tell from my dress?" laughed Neeta. "I'm getting married. Well actually today's the sangeet program, and what better place to have it than at the Juneja's hotel. Mom called Prem and he gave us a great rate".

"Congratulations. So...who's the lucky guy?" asked Preet. "Wait...let me guess...it has to be Raj. He was always following you around in college".

"Yup! I finally decided to give in. I couldn't wait around forever for your tube light to go on, now could I?" chuckled Neeta. Just then she spotted Meher. "Preet...aren't you going to introduce us?"

"Oh...yeah...Meher...this is Neeta. She's an old college buddy", said Preet. "And Neeta, this is Meher. She's...uh...with me".

"With you...as in you guys are ...together? Amazing! I never thought you'd get serious about anyone Preet", said Neeta. "How did you guys meet?"

"Well...", said Preet, as he put his arm around Meher. "...she followed me home one day and I figured I should just keep her".

"Ha Ha...very funny", said Meher, as she elbowed Preet. "Actually Neeta...we're just friends".

"Okay...if you say so", laughed Neeta. "Listen we were just about to have dinner, and you guys are officially invited. We're having a boys versus girls theme in our sangeet ceremony. The boys have already performed and we go on after dinner. But we're seriously out numbered so I'd love it if Sam and Meher would join us too. It'll be fun. What say?"

"I think that's a wonderful idea", said Sam.

"But...what about our clothes?" asked Meher.

"Ooo...what happened to your skirt?" asked Neeta. In the well lit hotel, it was more obvious that the skirt had been torn.

Meher, Sam, and Gaurav immediately pointed at Preet.

"What?" said Preet. "She showed up at a nightclub dressed like a librarian, so naturally I did what I had to do. Hasn't anyone heard the phrase...necessity is the mother of invention?"

"You haven't changed one bit have you Preet?" laughed Neeta. "Don't worry Meher, we have plenty of stuff in the changing room. But first let's eat".

Later...

"Congratz Raj", smiled Preet. "You bagged yourself a real nice girl".

"Thank Preet. It took some doing, but she finally said yes", smiled Raj. "So how about you? You seem to be one of the last ones in our group to still be single. Find someone yet?"

"No...and I'm not even looking", said Preet.

"But Neeta said you came here with a real nice girl", said Raj. "In fact she said you guys are living together. Got a shuddh desi romance going eh?

"It's shuddh (pure) alright", laughed Preet. "As in nothing is happening between us". Preet explained to Raj how he and Meher were helping each other out in situations they had gotten stuck in.

"Of course, I keep telling him he's got a great girl right under his nose, but he refuses to listen", complained Gaurav.

"Oh come on Gaurav. Don't you start too", Preet protested. "Why does everyone think a man is incomplete without a woman in his life?"

"Because we are", Raj replied simply.

"Well not me", said Preet. "I'm my own boss and I like it that way".

"Sam doesn't boss me around", said Gaurav.

"Yeah...neither does Neeta", said Raj.

"Ha! That's their whole plan", said Preet. "See women don't mind letting you 'think' you're the boss...as long as they can be 'Bossier'. They're all the same. You smile at a girl, and she's already calculating whether you're good enough to meet her parents. Ask her out for a date and pictures of the perfect wedding start flying around in her head. Take her out on a second one and she's already picked out the perfect name for your first born child. Well...no thanks. I've got way too much on my plate with work as it is to worry about the flowers, movie, and coffee peenay chalein?' scene. ('Shall we go for some coffee?' scene) I'm perfectly happy the way I am...alone".

"Ah...but technically speaking he's not alone. He does have a woman in his life", joked Gaurav.

"Gaurav you know nothing is going on on that front", said Preet.

"Main nahin manta (I'm finding this hard to believe)", said Raj shaking his head. Preet Juneja living under the same roof with a pretty girl...and nothing is going on? Either you're losing your touch, or the girl is simply not impressed with you".

"I could impress Meher if I wanted to", said Preet. He went onto give Raj the example of how he had fooled Meher into thinking he had rescued her at the club earlier that night. "She was totally in awe of me", gloated Preet. "And I didn't even have to shed any blood".

"That just might change", chuckled Gaurav.

"Huhn?" said Preet, as he saw Gaurav pointing. He turned to see Meher standing behind him with her arms folded. "Meher? What a nice surprise. We...uh...were just talking about you".

"So I heard", said Meher. "Gaurav Bhaiya, Neeta was nice enough to lend us some outfits. We're going to perform with the rest of the girls now. Sam sent over her purse for you to hold onto".

"Oh...okay sure", said Gaurav, as he took his wife's purse from Meher.

"Heh heh...nice going Boss'", whispered Preet. Just then Meher smacked him in his stomach with her purse.

"Ugh!" cried Preet.

"Here", Meher said. "You can impress me further by holding onto my purse too. On second thought come with me".

"Where?" asked Preet.

"Oh...you'll find out soon enough", Meher said with a mischievous smile. She took Preet by the arm and led him straight to the group of girls gathering around to perform.

Preet watched as Meher whispered something in Neeta and Sam's ear. Both girls began to nod their head and giggle.

"Would someone mind telling me what's going on?" whined Preet.

"We needed a guy for our act", explained Meher. "And I just volunteered you".

"Wait a minute...this was supposed to be a girls' act", said Preet. "What's my role?"

"Just play dumb", said Meher. "I mean...just be yourself".

Before Preet could protest, the music began to play and the girls encircled him while singing and snapping their fingers.

Gore Gore...Ye chore

Gore Gore...Ye chore

Meher sings:

Yeh ishq ishq chilate hain...Ooo yeah

Yeh gali gali mandra te hain...Ooo Yeah

{Preet shakes his head and tries to walk away, when Meher blocks his way, and hits him in the stomach with her elbow}

Yeh ishq ishq chilate hain...Ooo Yeah

Yeh gali gali mandra te hain...Ooo Yeah

{She points at Preet, who just rolls his eyes and walks off to one side}

Shaadi ki dagar na jayein magar

Ye gore gore se chore

Ye gore gore se chore

Ye gore gore se chore

Hey...Hey...Hey...

{The girls sing and dance}

Ye gore gore se chore

Ye gore gore se chore

Ye gore gore se chore

Yeh...Yeh...Yeh...

{Meher comes up behind Preet and pushes him, making him fall. She offers him her hand and helps him up. As soon as he gets up he makes an annoyed face at her and pushes her hand away. Meher motions the girls to quieten down, before continuing to sing}

Andar se chahe kuch bhi ho ye

Ha! Ha!

{Meher pretends to straighten her collar and comb her hair}

Adah magar hai hero wali

Hai! Hai!

{Meher pretends to flip pages of a book}:

Din raat kitaabein padte hain ye

Oh Ho! Oh Ho!

Ladki ki tasveeroon wali

{All the girls cover their mouths as if in shock. Meher runs over to Preet and pulls him back in between the circle of girls. They begin to dance around him trapping him}

Kahein jeevan mela...O shava!

Per shaadi jhamela...O shava!

Darwaaza inhe dikhlao zara

{Girls dance together and sing:}

Ye gore gore se chore

Ye gore gore se chore

Ye gore gore se chore

Yeh...Yeh...Yeh...

Ye gore gore se chore

Ye gore gore se chore

Ye gore gore se chore

Yeh...Yeh...Yeh...

{Preet tries to escape the girls, but they don't let him go. A few even pinch him}

Gore gore ye chore...chore

Gore gore ye chore...chore

{Several girls try to place necklaces made of flowers around Preet's neck, but he carefully dodges all of them, until he runs into Meher and she wraps a string of flowers around his neck. Meher sings}:

Shaadi ki jo baat karo toh

Ha! Ha!

Buri ye haalat karte hain

Acha?!

Hmm!

{She points an accusing finger at Preet, who rips the flowers off from around his neck}

Bin shaadi sang rehne ki ye

Oh ho! Oh ho!

Badi waqalat karte hain

{She hits Preet in the stomach again with her elbow}

Har ladki pyaari...Oye shava!

Bin zimivaari...Oye shava!

{Meher points to Preet's half-buttoned shirt. Just as he looks down she grabs his shirt and yanks it open further, causing several buttons to pop off}

Laila ke bina hi Majnoo banein

Ye gore gore se chore

Ye gore gore se chore

Ye gore gore se chore

Yeh...Yeh...Yeh...

Ye gore gore se chore

Ye gore gore se chore

Ye gore gore se chore

Yeh...Yeh...Yeh...

{Preet makes an angry face and tries to catch Meher, but she runs behind a group of girls, who in turn force him to sit in a chair}

Jab ye budhe ho jaye gain

Hai! Hai!

Khanse khanse ke reh jaye ge

{Meher comes and coughs loudly on Preet, who tries to shield his face with his hands}

Kandhe per koi haat na hoga...Aww!

Hum dum koi saat na hoga

{Preet tries to get up, but Meher pushes him down again}

Thokar khaye ge...O shava!

Phir pachtaye ge...O shava!

{Preet stands up, just as Meher spreads her arms out hitting him in his stomach}

Tab yaad inhe aye ge hum

Ye gore gore se chore

Ye gore gore chore

Ye gore gore se chore

Yeh...Yeh...Yeh...

{All the guests are laughing. That's it! thinks Preet. He begins to chase Meher, as she dodges him around tables and guests}

Yeh Ishq ishq chilate hain...Ooo yeah

Yeh gali gali mandra te hain...Ooo Yeah

Shaadi ki dagar na jaye magar

{Girls continue singing}

Ye gore gore se chore

Ye gore gore se chore

Ye gore gore se chore

Yeh...Yeh...Yeh...

Ye gore gore se chore

Ye gore gore se chore

Ye gore gore se chore

Yeh...Yeh...Yeh...

Meher ran out of the banquet room and into another empty one with Preet still running behind her. "Preet stop!" she said, as she tried to catch her breath with only a table between them.

"No way!" Preet growled. "Not until I catch you and make you pay for all the elbowing you did tonight".

"You're behaving like 6 year old", said Meher. "Look...I'm sorry. Can't you take a joke?"

"Oh...so you think making me look like an idiot in front of my friends is a joke?" said Preet as he lunged at her. "You...you even ripped my shirt!"

"What about you?" cried Meher, as she dodged him and ran behind another table. "You made me open all those buttons, ripped my skirt, and let a complete stranger grope me, when you knew it was all a setup. Do you have any idea how scared I was?!"

"Okay...so I'm sorry...but now look who can't take a joke?" said Preet.

Meher tried to run from her position, but this time Preet caught her easily, and pinned her against the wall. For a moment they just stood there in the darkened hall, staring into each others eyes, trying to catch their breaths.

"Okay", Meher finally spoke up, still breathing hard. "You caught me. Now what? You wouldn't hit a girl would you?"

She was right, thought Preet. He would never hit a girl. So, what was he going to do now that he had caught her? As he continued to stare at Meher a soft smile appeared on Preet's lips. She was unlike any other girl he had met before. Wide-eyed and helpless one minute. Cool and defiant the next. There was something about her that was drawing him to her. Some special chemistry between them that had been there from the first time they had met. Or was it just his reaction to her? And suddenly Preet realized what he wanted to do. He had an overwhelming desire to kiss her. Confused, he pulled himself away instead.

"Preet?" said Meher. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah...uh...let's just go home", he said quietly.

I couldn't wait to finish reading the update, to post my reaction to Rishap getting the knee and the heel.😆😆😆

You are good. Too good, Fatima. 😆
I laughed so much when I read it.
Wasn't expecting that one.
Well deserved, I must say. 👍🏼

Finally finished reading the update.
What a fantastic job you've done, Fatima.

I love the different sides of Meher you showed.
Preet feeling so macho, then being at the mercy of the ladies at the sangeet.
Great read, Fatima, as usual. 👍🏼

Can't wait to see the developing emotions between Meher and Preet.
You should write and publish romance novels, Fatima.

Thanks for reading Bennu. 🤗
A lot of things happening in this update 😆

Preet will always be there in time for Meher, although I doubt he'll ever be able to convince her to come to a club again.

Yes that kiss confusion was nice wasn't it?

Looks like our Preet is falling in love after all. 😳
