What mattered was that he cared ONLY about her feelings..

You know this had happened once before too.. when at that time when he washed off haldi from Paro's body he covered her up before she herself realized it and felt uneasy...she didn't even have to feel it let alone let him know it.. he just did it..because he cares...

And today the whole episode was special to me due to that.. when she ran to him and sought refuge in his arms and hugged him and was shaking, he held her close.. and whispered to her 'shant' as he soothed her.. and gently turned her around hiding the other people's looks from her and took her inside carefully...
he didn't glare at her for being on display.. no.. he didn't even think about it.. he only glared at the people who dared to look at his Paro in a wrong way and cause her distress...while he kept on protectively holding her..
And once inside he never berated her.. simply tried to calm her down in his gruff manner...

And then when he took her with him to meet his senior officer and his wife, the moment he realized her problem with the complicated cutlery he intervened immediately.. in a manner that protected her and didn't expose her to the scorn of anyone.. he guarded her in his own way.. before she could fumble he recognized the hurdles and took it upon himself to smooth her sail through them...

And then he just like her heard those nasty things those low class women said.. and he kept her behind to protect her from getting hurt, because he knows that verbal taunts of catty women was one area he wouldn't have been able to protect her from if he took her there.. And he being a man, didn't know how to solve it by getting her to dress differently.. of course he doesn't know.. so he did what he could and tried to keep her behind.. n nope. not by ordering her.. but gently trying to coax her so she wouldn't be hurt to be left behind in the room by him..

And finally when he knows she cannot dance, he would be keeping her feet on his shoes and carrying his petite wife with him as he twirls...together.. always...

She as always will be the emotional stability while he will always act as that protective barrier b/w her and the entire world.. nothing would penetrate him to reach her and hurt her..
he had failed once, as kaki managed to do it.. but today he being his overprotective self completely fulfilled his self appointed duty of protecting her at every second...

And in any other case, with any other woman this over protectiveness would be overbearing.. because that woman would need to establish an individuality apart from him and he will always rail against it.. this is why Paro & Rudra are simply perfect, as she is always gonna be that proverbial vine that wraps itself around the strong tree that Rudra is.. and would rather feel cherished by his overbearing protectiveness instead of feeling stifled...
Their own characterizations makes them fit perfectly with each other due to this..

One last thing
Its always a delight to see in a TV show a heroin of a different social class not being humiliated for not fitting in.. but instead the husband being that proverbial crutch to help her get through.. and welcome her to his world by holding her by his side..

CVs amazing job, by not going that nasty way.. from yesterday's innocent delight she took in the amazing new world that opened its doors to her, to today Rudra navigating virtual minefields and bringing her forward...
it was perfectly done!!

It left a very warm feeling..

Well analysed and Infact you are the only one who has brought out the analysis of the tea serving scene .I think all of us were bowled over by the dance that we overlooked the small details .

Sunara, I always love your posts, today is no exception! A very thoughtful post ... I liked the episode on many levels today, apart from the dance.
Rudra the protector is back in full force ... from the moment he rushes back to Paro standing stunned in the hallway in full panic, and takes her back into the room ... and doesn't shout at her at all ... but does turn back to bite off a rude remark to all the people watching.

I was apprehensive when they showed the tea set .. most shows take the opportunity to humiliate the gaon ki ladki/ladka ... I simply loved the way Rudra took over making the tea, as soon as he realised that Paro didn't have a clue what to do. And loved the way Paro watched closely ... next time she will be ready to do it!

He told her to stay back only because he was worried as to what she would face from the other ladies, not because he was ashamed of her himself ... and Paro also realised it. He was feeling bad, trying to explain without making her feel ashamed ... and she gently told him to stop making excuses, she would stay back ... loved their interaction there! Damyanti ji's words have had a powerful impact on Rudra banna!!!

Even the dance ... she was nervous ... he took over and told her to follow him ... and she did. Those were some good dance moves there ... Ashish sure can dance! 😳 I liked the way they tried to show that Rudra is guiding Paro throughout the dance ... especially when she put her feet on his.
