This topic is getting out of hand.
People, you must remember that all of you come from different backgrounds, different upbringings and different schools of thought. There are as many opinions in this world as there are people. Stating your opinion in an assertive manner does not make it a fact. An opinion is just that, and everyone is entitled to their own.
In the 21st century, people have to reconcile their culture and upbringing with their own ideas of morals, rights and wrongs. It is an individual's own vision that constitutes their morality - no one else has the right to "teach" someone else about values.
And to all those people who are arguing that "Indians living in India are closer to their culture" etc - give me a break. I take major offence to that - I live in England and I have no problem reconciling my British (and, I am proud to say it, forward-thinking) upbringing with my Indian culture. And trust me, the Indians who live in India are no better than the rest of the world. You only have to look at the kind of movies that are successful these days to know what the Indian youth is about. Films like Murder, Jism etc would not be super-hits if at least a section of the demographic didn't appeal to them. So please, don't generalise and categorise people into groups that segragate us into: Indians living in India = pure, sanskaari and Indians living outside India = devil children.
That said - there is no reason to attack ANYONE's beliefs, opinions or views. This topic will now be closed. No follow-up topics, please!
