Mojo gives collections and budget. Doesn't give any verdict.

As for hit status, one site had posted the criteria. I don't know how true it is though.

Hit = Recover cost + 50% of budget
Super Hit = Collect twice as much as budget
BB = Thrice as much as budget

I know but their datas are legit.

This criteria is from the producers point of view.

but movies tags are given by the distributors point of view.

example

producers spend 50 cr on a film (budget)

they sell to the distributors for 90 cr

Distributors have to earn 90 crs they spend plus profits.

Producers are often save it is the distributors who have to suffer.

Yeah, but I think BOI gives verdict based on producers earnings. Else Jai ho should be flop as it was sold for 120 cr to distributors.

I don't think he is against BOI's numbers. Just their way of verdict system

I believe BOI's first criteria is budget than distributors share.

well Raone too suffered losses and will still declared a HIT. i think the status of movie is being given on the status of the box office, the business a movie does not PRICE from which the distributors has bought the film.
